SOURCE: Washing machine does not drain
does the water pour out when you put the drain hose close to the ground if it does then make sure your pump isnt blocked if it isnt then youll need to replace the pump most pumps have 3 little fins in them if you can stop those fins with a screw driver when pump is going then it deffinatley needs replacing as you cannot fix them sorry for the bad news m8

SOURCE: Problem with Hotpoint WD64 Washer Dryer
Effectively it looks like a water heating problem.
When the water cannot be heated sufficiently, the machine waits until water reaches desired temperature.
So that the program takes longer to complete.
Heating problems can be caused by:
Faulty heating element
Faulty heating element solenoid.
Faulty thermic switch (in this case the water will get hotter than normal)
The heating element and the solenoid can be tested for continuity using a multimeter.
If the machine is slow to fill check also that the inlet valve is fine and not obstructed.

Unplug the machine. Unscrew the 3 screws under the front edge of the washer. The service technician manual is attached to the panel that slides down and off. Find F21 code. See suggested procedures. Note: My drain pump filter had a baby wash cloth in it along with some change that was disrupting the flow. It is exceptionally easy to remove, clean, and reinstall. Just line up installation notches when reinstalling. Whirlpool should have mentioned this filter in the User & Care Guide, but I could not find it anywhere in there.

This is a on going problem with asko and they keep jerking everyone around with this defect. I had a repair person come over and used a turkey baster with a 7" rubber hose attached to the end of the baster. He took off the kick plate and inserted the hose end in the overflow tray and pull about of 12 onces of water from the tray. He is a asko repair facility and says it is a comon problem and has made the repair solution on his own as it is easier then taking the hole dishwaser out and tip it on the side just to drain the water. This has been on going for 3 years and each time i called asko it was like i was the only person having such a problem. I now do this every 3 months and the problem is on going. What a piece of junk. Purchased at Marcellas appliances in Schenectady,NY. They also know how to avoid the problem in fact there repair person left out most of the screws so the next time it would take less time to drain the water. DDDDDont buy ASKO. Michael Foote
