SOURCE: Error code 173
That error means low temperature on the heat roller. The thermistor (something like an electric thermostat) measures the amount of heat needed to work. Error 173 refers a lower temperature than required, while error 172 refers overheat. The complete error list will be of no use to you, since most errors will refer you to an authorized service center.

Because you drum is worn out, and resetting the counter only forces the unit to keep working with weared consumables. A new drum unit is quite expensive, but it lasts 20,000 pages so the cost per print is low.
SOURCE: fatal error 173?
It points to an internal error. It may be from the fuser unit. Make sure all the wires are connected praoperly and that you didn't disconnect anything when you repalced the fuser. If the problempersists, you'll have to take it in for service.

That is a temperature error with the fuser, most likely the thermistor. Really the fuser needs to be replaced. Hope this helps.
