OKI B4300 Led Printer Questions & Answers
Printer keeps saying ram check and will not do
from what i know, some printers have a memory ram disk that holds the information for printing.
go to applications folder for your computer, dbl click printer icon for make of printer. check settings. print 'test document and clean cartridge heads', this should ensure proper printing formats. also see if there is information in this icon settings page about memory settings.
lastly, go to web site of printer model and check site for trouble shooting if this does not work above.
hope this helps and good luck

Mine did the same thing, so I opened the paper tray and pulled it totally out. Then I moved the adjustable paper holder (inside of the tray, next to the paper) snug toward the paper, to hold the paper in place (lengthwise). That solved it for me! :o)
WE HAVE A OKI B4300
If the printer has additional memory, remove the memory and reboot
the printer. If the printer initializes, the ram memory may be
defective. Try reseating the optional memory, if unit fails to
initialize, memory option is defective.
If the printer does not
have any additional memory, this "RAM CHECK" condition is probably
being caused by a low voltage power supply problem. It is recommended
to replace the low voltage power supply - part number 41991601.
MY OKDIATA 4350 CYCLES ON AND OFF NOT COMPLETING
If you have more then one stick of memory in that printer then try putting one stick of memory in one slot then the other and turn on the printer after each stick reinsertion.
If you still get the error message then try the other memory stick and repeat the process to see if the error message still appears, sounds like a memory problem to me.
If you have other memory you can test in there, I would suggest that.
If you try new memory and the printer can cycle thru the RAM test then you know that the ram you have is bad.
If you try new memory but the system is still failing the ram check then you know its a system board problem.
Error code 173
That error means low temperature on the heat roller. The thermistor (something like an electric thermostat) measures the amount of heat needed to work. Error 173 refers a lower temperature than required, while error 172 refers overheat. The complete error list will be of no use to you, since most errors will refer you to an authorized service center.
