I've checked connections. I've used different speaker wires, RCA jacks, speakers, etc.. I've done everything short of removing the cover and going inside. I've repaired amplifiers with bad fuses, cracked solder and bad input/output jacks. It's a fairly expensive unit that I've never cracked the cage on. I was hoping someone out there might have a little experience with the same problem
Fuses only blow when there is a short circuit. In your case it sound like the main amplifier has been playing up and tripping the circuit. But now something has gone completely, but no longer trips the protection circuit. I would have a look inside and pay close attention to the main power amp board. If there is an IC on it suspect that.
