I have the same trouble, and i did what u said and it doesn`t work yet:S something else????

something wrong on your audio amplifier,if you don`t know how to trouble shoot it,let technicians do it for you,they know how to fix it.but if you are a technician/hobbiest,please make an audio test to it`s amplifier to distinguish if it hum or make a noise.also of course,can you check the presence of its supply if it has,if none so trail out the map of it`s circuit where it`s component doesn`t give off voltage.

DTC'S - diagnostic trouble code's ? Having a ford scan tool an going to mode 6 data and misfire counters would show if the vehicle actually is misfiring ,an which cyliner it is .

Something you can do is to tap the 4/4 motor under drivers side on the back of transfer case with key on engine off. Have someone work the buttons as you gently tap the motor. Don't hit so hard as to dent it. Usually works.

We experienced an intermittent problem where the entire audio system on our new 2013 Kia Sorento would fail to turn on at all after a brief stop (at a thruway rest area) on a long trip. When it happened twice the dealer replaced the entire unit and we had been trouble free for almost a year when my daughter reported something flaky happening to the radio recently again. I am keeping me eyes on this problem once again.

You should consult someone who repairs/restores old machines. They can best advise on how to proceed with this issue.

That is an evap emissions code. Since that is an emissions code I would check your catalytic converter. I hope this helps you out.
