SOURCE: E1 Error

If your sewing machine show's the E1 Error, then you have to open your sewing machine and replace the fuse.(you have to open the right Cover on Front where the Display is placed, because there is the circuit board placed!) There are 3 Fuses in the Sewing machine and they are placed at the printed circuit board. It should be the Fuse in the middle. (not those with the wire in it!) It's not easy at all to open the machine, the best thing you can do (if you have a Digicam) take some Pictures of the wiring so it will be much easier to put it back together. I'm NOT an Expert; but a passionate hobbyist. ;) If you are too; just save yourself further trouble with the helpdesk, and fix it yourself. I hope this post could help you!

SOURCE: Stop for Safety Purposes ?

I have had this happen to me many times. It really does feel as though the problem is in the bobbin, but it's not. After much aggrivation I took it into the repair shop and found out the thred was comming unhooked on the top not in the bobbin. It still happens all the time but I know what it is now so I just rethred the top.

Hi, I have a Janome memory Craft Compulock 888. It turns on, but does not function. Can someone help me?

Question edited for clarity.
Question moved from Cellphone category.

There is nothing in the manual about this error. You will need dealer service.

Janome 6600 bobbin will not wind error "stop for safety purposes"

I have a feeling the sensor has been jolted just enough to make it stop. Pretty sure this can be adjusted by the dealer quickly. Worse case scenario, you'll have to replace a sensor.

Janome Memory Craft Compulock serger

Sounds like your machine needs an adjustment as it could have been knocked out of time.

I just bought a Janome 9700 and I was wondering what kind of needles work best. I have hear that the Organ Titanium are really good. What are your thoughts? Thanks!

I've been sewing for over 30 years, I used organ needle before, but not the organ titanium, you said you just bought the machine, did it come with a instruction manual? if it did then it should tell which needle to use.
I have 2 necchi sewing machine & one babylock serger & I use SCHMETZ universal needle on all my machine, I never had any problems sewing with them, I make clothes & quilts & even upholstery some.

I have a Janome Memorycraft 7000 machine. The display has gotten progressively darker and now I cannot see it at all to select stitches. What do I need to purchase to fix this and where do I get it?

This could be a symptom of a backlight issue for the LCD screen. The entire screen may need to be replaced. If your sewing machine is under warranty, take it to the shop or contact the company. For contact info see: http://www.janome.co.jp/e/e_links/america.html . I do not see a MemoryCraft 7000 listed on their site. The 9000 is listed as a retired model which came with a 20 year warranty (except for the electrical/electronics which have a 2 year warranty).

Unfortunately, Janome doesn't sell repair parts to non-dealers to the best of my knowledge.

I wish that I had better news.
