Brother gave it to me it turns on but I don't know any other thing about it, need manual

Note that XL1800 is not the model number, but it is located on a tag / sticker and should be something like JVM18xxxxx, etc.

Basically remove any covers from the machine, clean out and lint and dirt, then just place a single drop of oil on anything that moves when you turn the machine over by hand. run the machine for a minute or sew with no thread or fabric to expel and excess oil, then you should be fine.

Bonnie, sinc you didn't mention a model number, it's a little hard to help you. I did find an Owner's Manual for a Danby 7000 btu Portable AC, that may be the one you have. I got the phone number for the Brother typewriter from thier site page, and gave them a call concerning the EP 20 electric typewriter, They promptly connected me to thier Service Center where I was given all the information concerning the EP 20 that I had been given, and for a nominal fee of $5.00 I would be sent the instruction manual.
