The brakes may not be the source of the sound. A new brake has screws to secure it to the end of the motor. A brake click when the brake releases is normal. You may be hearing rattling hub caps on the wheels or drive wheels that need to be tightened on the motor transaxle ends. Have the dealer or friend with a wrench tighten these nuts. I often pull off the drive wheels and put a dab of grease on the motor translate shafts and keys to quiet any squeaks or noises. Hope this helps.
