How much is a speed controller

These can be £200 - are you sure this is the problem. It could be that the battery case is "jumping" off the contacts when you go over a bump which causes the controller to think there is a fault.
This VERY irritating and I am struggling to find a suitable way to stop the battery case jumping off the contacts. Anybody got a solution?

Priderear wheels intermittentant response and sometime fail to engage?

First it could be the brake switch. This switch is located on the back side of the motor. Its usually apart of the freewheel assembly. This device gives me all kinds of trouble. It can get moist and even wet when you use the scooter outside. This causes the mechanism too get stiff. So i spray it with pure silicon spray. WARNING Do NOT USE WD40 eats some plastics.IT sounds to me like you have one or more shorted windings on the armature of your drive motor which is apart of the trans-axle assembly. TO BE SURE remove the entire trans-axle module. I have a Rascal 600t all i have to do to remove my trans-axle is to remove to quick pins and my entire trans-axle assembly comes away from the scooter. Take the entire assembly down to your local motor repair shop that can rewind motors. Thay will check out the motor, take it apart and clean all the carbon dust from the brushes that gets all over the interior of the motor, doesn't do the motor bearing any good. Rewinding a motor isn't inexpensive costing $200 and up depending on the size and complexity of the motor. But the scooter trans-axle cost is astoundingly high at $1,500 and up. They say they are sealed unit and that they can not be repaired. In reality trans-axles are quite simple to repair and easily repaired. The only difficult thing are the scooter companies that will not come across with the parts and info we need in order for us to keep our scooters in good repair. So ii'd take the trans-axle down to the motor shop. They don't charge anything to check it out. When they do maintenance you will know its working right. When troubleshooting problem with scooter you eliminate half the machine when you eliminate the trans-axle. Get back to me once you've checked it out

How do I replace the battery?

to replace the batteries in your Go-Go you need to remove the battery case from the scooter and turn it upside down . as you use an AGM gel battery you will not spill any thing i change mine out every 400 charge cycle as they are good for about that long. on the bottom of the case you will find 8 screws you need to take out to open the case you will need a 6 to 8 inch long Philips screw driver for this. after you remove all the screws you need to turn the box up right and remove the top.inside you will find 2 batteries. you will need to replace both batteries to ensure the full 24 volt to power the scooter. yes you use any AGM gel battery.i get mine at batteries plus as it cost about half the price.carefully using 2 wrenches loosen and remove the small bolts and nuts holding the cables leads to the batteries' terminals, there should be 2 black and 2 red. now either draw how they attached to the positive and negative terminals or mark them in some manner. The batteries have two velcro strips on the bottom of each battery. remove the strips and place in the same position on the new batteries now place the new batteries in the box and press down firmly to seat the velcro, attach the cable leads to the proper terminal, replace the top and turn box upside down and replace the screws. now the batteries are ready to charge up so you can do as i do... race like at speed demon around in circles... happy scooting

Pride Zero Turn 10 - 4 beep code randomly while driving.

It is called the "current limit time out." Apparently the battery needs to recuperate or adjust its charge across the cells. That is another question. What it needs is a few minutes to be turned off. I know this from seeing the manual. https://youtu.be/PB2JsjU9m3A?si=QEXCzBoW3ni5mWyi&t=122

Where is the fuse on my Jazzy pride mobility scooter

the fuse box location may vary depending on the model of the scooter. However, it is usually located under the seat of the Jazzy scooter. You can access it by unscrewing the two bolts that hold the seat in place. Once you remove the seat, you should see a black box with a white label that says "FUSE". The fuse is located inside this box.

The latch won't stay latched on pride jet 3 ultra

If the latch on your Pride Jet 3 Ultra power wheelchair won't stay latched, there are a few potential causes and solutions you can try:
  1. Check for obstructions: Inspect the latch mechanism and the surrounding area for any obstructions or debris that may be preventing it from latching properly. Remove any obstacles and ensure that the latch can move freely.
  2. Adjust the latch position: Sometimes, the latch may need to be adjusted to ensure a proper fit. Check if there are any adjustable components on the latch mechanism and try repositioning them to achieve a secure latch.
  3. Tighten or replace the latch: If the latch is loose or worn out, it may not hold securely. Check if there are any screws or fasteners that can be tightened to secure the latch. If tightening doesn't solve the issue, you may need to replace the latch with a new one.
  4. Seek professional assistance: If the latch continues to have issues or you are unsure about making adjustments or replacements yourself, it's best to contact Pride Mobility or a certified technician for further assistance. They will have the expertise to diagnose the problem and provide the appropriate solution.
