You MUST run a 64 BIT if you want to run anything more than 3 Gb of ram ( such as windows xp 64 BIT , Vista 64 BIT , or even winows 2008 server 64 BIT ) Windows 2003 does NOT support 64 BIT ....

You could try reseting the Bios settings using the jumper of the motherboard after installing the new Rams. Anyways ,its working, so don't do that now :P .

By this do you mean you want to increase the RAM on your computer?
I suggest you use PC2100 DDR RAM (same speed) and increase the total RAM to what your require but use the same RAM manufacturer if possible.
If you want to install more than 2Gb of RAM, check the motherboard specification for the maximum RAM that the motherboard can support.
Your motherboards may support more RAM with a BIOS upgrade.

I too have this problem... Also suing windows 7 64 bit version. Will keep searching... I can prolly find the solution
