My xr-32x has light spots on the projection

Spots were defect with DLP chip, but can still use if want.
Now no picture, check lamp if burned out.

If it is the same as you would find on a desktop computer, then yes it is standard.

I think your TV has beam convergence problem. Depending on the model there may be user adjustments on the TV to align the beams on to the same spot as close as possible so that color shadows are minimized. Strong magnetic fields such as nearby unshielded speakers can also cause this problem. If that is the case, moving such magnetic field sources away may be the only solution.

It is more than likely a cable problem. If you using a vga cable try replacing it, if not there is something wrong internally in the projector.

Per the manual, hold down MENU button, DOWN button, and the ENTER button, then press the STANDBY/ON button.

Ensure the screen resolution on the laptop is not set higher than the projector can display. Try 1024 x 768.

I suggest u retrace you the steps u took to replace your lamp make sure no foriegn objects got on the prism where the light shines throung the optics engine, if you remove the lamp compartment througly. If you had a perfect picture prior to replacing the lamp, then retracing your steps you might find something that does not belone. One final note: Did you purchase the right lamp 120watts anything higher than this wattage could damage your optics engine. I suggest never vacuuming the compartment because particals fly around from the suction and could get on the glass of the color wheel asembly.

The liquid crystal is breaking down. If pressure was applied to this at anytime it has ruptured part of the membrane expensive fix

if it's an xr-32x (as it shows on this pic), it's a dlp projector, not an lcd. therefore no green filter. it has only a colorwheel and a dmd chip to affect the color. if it's not an xr-32x, and it's an lcd projector, replace the green filter. sharp sells the parts for the optical engine. but if it was your service tech that did it, have them replace it.

go to some near carpenter or furniture maker store or some fabrics sewing office and just ask for some white but it should not be a paper-teen material, the most thick you can find is the best one. the size you can see from yours projector preference book or for bet image it can be as follow : 2.5 meters widе and 1.5 meters tall
