If the LCD displays correctly on previous photos then the problem is more than likely a CCD or associated ribbon connector failure due to moisture/condensation or age/misuse. Good luck with finding a replacement part!

When I print the picture has a purple haze in it ?

If you are using re-manufactured ink tanks, that would explain it, a mi-matched ink tank. To clarify the ink colour is not quite right.

If genuine ink tanks (Recommended) then maybe try different paper. If using photo paper you should be using compatible / genuine paper as the different chemicals react can give this problem.

If using fax / standard paper then could be print head fault....normally get an error code.

Power supply for a red haze problem? Doesn't sound like a powersupply issue. If its a red haze that Im thinking aobut, you might as well buy a new set. It'll be a little too costly to fix.

When it was shutting down, what was the red light blinking before it paused then repeated?

When taking photos at night I sometimes get a red haze

It's probably because of the artificial light affecting the white balance, causing the images to appear too 'hot'. Ideally, you could post up some photos so we can see (along with the EXIF data).

If you shoot in RAW you can easily adjust when post processing.

Photo printing

Step 1). Try cleaning the gold contacts on the print cartridge and on the printer itself with a pen eraser and a little alcohol. also soak a lint free cloth with alcohol and hold it on the print nozzles for two minutes to dissolve possible clogs. Use the clean nozzle function when you reinsert the cartridge.

Step 2). Uninstall the printer software and reinstall it.

Step 3). If the above two steps fail try a new cartridge. If none of these solutions work there is an electronic problem with the printer and it will have to be professionally diagnosed or replaced.

Hope this was of some help to you.

Printing photos

Try playing with the advanced settings in the application's (whatever application you are printing from) Page Setup dialog. Be sure to choose the proper paper type as well as this makes a big difference in ink delivery.
