sounds like it ran dry and burned up the seals between the pump and the motor

The seals are specific to the Jacuzzi pump housing not to the Emerson motor. Most Jacuzzi pumps use the PS-200 or PS-201 seal (some have it listed as AS-20X) here is a Pump Seal Cross Reference.

If you have something burnt on your circuit board you will need a new circuit board.
begin with finding the chip number on the circuit board. this chip is usually located close to the transformer on the circuit board.

You have most likely burned up the pump. the pumps from years ago have a seal that has to have water to cool them whereas today's pump almost all of them, have a 'dry-run' seal kit so that if they are tuned on without water in them they will not burn up.

pretty much bet on the fact that the pump has burned out. You are very lucky it did not set your house on fire. There is much friction when the pump is on and there is no water in the wet end to keep the seal cool. You will need a new pump. What model pump do you have? Find your Pump

buzzing sound on a motor means it has almost burned out. you will need to replace the pump.

i have the same model after unplugging everything one by one i got the breaker to stay on with the transformer unplugged. ordered new transformer installed works great!!

The impeller on the Magnum pump unthreads counter clockwise as do other impellers. There is a shaft of the motor that runs the length of the motor, on the back of the motor when you take the bell housing off you will see a small silver spot with a **** in it for a standard screwdriver. Put the biggest one in there you can and then grab the impeller and turn it counter clock wise and it should unthread. Sometimes they won't if it has been on there a number of years. You will need to break it off if it doesn't unthread. Then just purchase a new Impeller for the Jacuzzi Magnum Pump.
