First, make sure that the Mach Speed Trio Onyx MP3 player is fully charged (if you use a rechargeable battery) or insert a new AAA battery. Then press and hold the Play button for 5+ seconds. This will turn off the MP3 player if it is on.

Based on Mach Speed Trio TCH843's manual it has 1500MAH rechargeable battery, however can't find any info if it's Li-Ion, Ni-Mh or NI-cd

the timer motor is most likly bad it is mounted on the back of the timer itself and advances the timer thru each cycle. you can check power to it (115vac) on the 2 black wire coming out of it
