my tiro tch843 does not turrn on

but when i do just copy and paste it to my MP3 player, ill go into my music and it doesnt appear. it says Empty Disc. >.< Please Help

Check the specification of your MP3 player to determine thetype of video file format it uses. Most common video files that MP3 players use are, AVI andWMV, there may be others such as FLV, MOV and DivX. If your player cannot play a video then it is anincompatible video file format, then you need to convert that video file to aformat that your MP3 player uses. You have a bad backlight or inverter. The purpose of the inverter is to turn on the backlight. I suspect it's a bad inverter because that is a common problem on most LCD displays and you mentioned it turns on briefly - the backlight lamp is likely good..

Remove the back cover
(there's 1 screw on the left side. Remove it, then slide back cover to the left)
Look for the ribbon connector that connects the display to the circuit board.
(it's about 1 inch wide)
Lift up on the black part of the connector to release the ribbon.
Pull it out, inspect, and then re-seat the ribbon connector.
If this didn't fix your problem, try pressing lightly on the connector while looking at the screen.
If the video shows up by applying pressure, find some thin rubber (or equiv.) that you can cut & glue to the top of connector.
The idea here is the rubber will act as a shim when the back cover is on, pressing on the ribbon connector.

I suppose that the proper way to fix this problem is to replace the connector and maybe re-flow all the solder connections, but good luck with that!

If none of the above works for you, you might have a cracked circuit board. Again, applying light pressure to the right spot might help you find it.

Based on Mach Speed Trio TCH843's manual it has 1500MAH rechargeable battery, however can't find any info if it's Li-Ion, Ni-Mh or NI-cd

ask chinamanuals.com they have a new firmware

you have to delete it straight from the trio....i had the same problem....but now my media library wont update so its useless cuz i cant even get it come up on my computer

Hi. If you're like me you just bought one of Mach Speed's mp3/media players (I have the Trio/Eclipse Model G2, it looks like the Ipod Nano). I bought it at Big Lots for about $30. Everything works except i can't get video to play on it! Here's what i found after hours of trial and error:
Seems mine (hopefully this will work for yours) will ONLY play either FLV or RM files. If you have AVI or other kinds of video files you can use this great software to convert to FLV:

It's free and it won't put a watermark on the video...which is great 'cause all the other free ones out there will. Anyway i hope this helps.

i have had same thing happen to me. I fixed it by chucking a brick at mine. Worked for me! ;)

You probably need to recharge the battery, plug in the charger overnight, or connect to your PC's USB port. See if this works, otherwise you might have to "Take it back" if you can, as it has gone faulty.
