How to fix sony dvd player no picture low sound

What kind of TV is it connected to / .Please check on the front panel of the DVD player if the Progressive light is on. If it is disable it and your picture will come back

I've fought with this for a while and finally figured it out. I recall another piece of hardware that would perform some sort of auto reset when it was unplugged so I tried it and it worked! I don't mean just hitting the power button, I mean crawling down on your hands and knees to follow the power cord from the back of the dvd player to the wall/power strip. Unplug it, wait a few seconds and plug it back in. BAM! All fixed.

clean the vcr heads they are dirty

just check up your rca chord maybe loose connection or defective rca chord. in audio only

Turn off progressive scan mode of dvd player to get its picture in composite video mode.

Try to go under the settings in the dvd player. Be sure all the setting are set up according to your TV.

Sometimes if you dont have it set to N. American standards it can output like that. Be sure its set to "NTSC" if you live in N. America or Japan. If you live in Europe be sure its set to "PAL".

If the DVD is connected to the TV properly using the yellow, white & red AV cable and the TV is switched to AV and there is still no picture, plug the yellow lead from the back of the DVD player into the green socket. If you see a black and white picture now the DVD output is on Progressive Scan mode. See user manual to turn off Progressive Scan mode.

how it sounds your tv's speaker syatem is going out or your rca cords going from the dvd to the tv are broke on the inside.

you should call a tech. i think a failing component is eminent.
