Screen is black after pressing moon button

The region code hack for DV454 works perfectly on LG DV450:
1: Press "Open" button on the player
2: Press "pause" button on the remote
3: Press "3" "1" "4" "1" "5" "9" button on the remote
4: You can check on the TV screen as now you can set your region code.
5. Press "0" button on the remote to select "Multiregion".
6. Press "pause" button on the remote.
7. Swith Off the player and wait for a few sec.
8. Swith On the player and it works.

The moon icon usually indicates that your machine is in SLEEP mode. Try closing and opening the screen lid. If not, there might be a problem with your laptop waking up from sleep mode. Try holding the power button. This will turn it off. Turn it on again by pressing the power button once more. Hope this helps! Have a nice day.

The "Half moon key" is just the sleep key should be able to get your screen back by either hitting ESC, or Enter

Look for the Fn Button bottom left of the keyboard. Hold this button down then press F5. You should see the screen flash up. Have an external monitor connected to the vga output on the back of the sharp while you try this. The Fn Key and F5 combination is used to swith modes between laptop and external monitor, Dual view etc. You should see some activity when you do this. Hope this helps you out. Ps... Using the Fn key with F6 and F7 will Alter the brightness of the screen on your laptop.

You button may have a malfunction where the psp thinks it is being pressed. My analog stick does the same thing. the only real solution is to replace the psp, because if you fix it your running the chance of it happening again.

Faulty unit.

The moon button is sleep mode. If you are pressing this button to turn the computer on, you are actually putting it to sleep.

The half moon usually means the computer is in SLEEP MODE. Normally, pressing the spacebar will wake the computer up but I have noticed that sometimes, the computer can get "stuck" in sleep mode. If that is the case, you can hold the power button down (until the power turns off and the moon disappears). Wait a few seconds then hit the power button again to turn the laptop back on.

The Moon key is for putting your computer to sleep, the keypad light is probably the NUM LOCK LIGHT. When your screen blacks out will it come on again if you press enter on click the mouse button? if so, go into the control panel, click on the power options and look for the icon marked 'Screen' or something similiar. Change the timing to an hour or so...
