Solution : Print on Envelopes You can print envelopes from the Bypass Tray only.
Guidelines for Printing Envelopes

  • Print quality depends on the quality and construction of the envelopes. Try another envelope brand if you do not get desired results.
  • Maintain constant temperatures and relative humidity.
  • Store unused envelopes in their packaging to avoid excess moisture and dryness which can affect print quality and cause wrinkling. Excessive moisture can cause the envelopes to seal before or during printing.
  • Remove air bubbles from the envelopes before loading them into the tray by setting a heavy book on top of them.
  • In the print driver software, select Envelope as the paper type.
  • Do not use padded envelopes. Use envelopes that lie flat on a surface.
  • Do not use envelopes with heat activated glue.
  • Do not use envelopes with press and seal flaps.
  • Use only paper envelopes.
  • Do not use envelopes with windows or metal clasps.
To Load Envelopes in the Bypass Tray:
  1. Open the Bypass Tray.

  2. How to print #10 envelopes on a Xerox 3610 printer - 3610-bypass-op-gd.jpg

  3. Move the width guides to the edges of the tray.

NOTE: If you do not load envelopes in the Bypass Tray right after they have been removed from the packaging, they can bulge. Flatten them to avoid jams.
  4. To load envelopes, select an option:
    • For Number 10 envelopes, load the envelopes with the short edge going into the printer, flaps down, and flaps to the right.
    • For C5 envelopes, do one of the following. If the envelopes wrinkle, try another option.
      • Insert envelopes with the print side up, flaps closed and down, and flaps going into the printer.
      • Insert envelopes with the print side up, flaps closed and down, and flaps going into the printer.
    • NOTE: When loading Monarch or DL envelopes, remove the Multipurpose Tray.
  5. On the printer Control Panel, press the Menu button.

NOTE: To navigate through the menu, use the Up or Down arrow buttons.
  6. Navigate to Tray Settings, then press OK.
  7. Navigate to the Bypass Tray, then press OK.
  8. Navigate to Tray Mode, then press OK.
  9. Navigate to Panel Specified, then press OK.
  10. To return to the previous menu, press the Left arrow button.
  11. Navigate to Paper Type, then press OK.
  12. Navigate to Envelope, then press OK.
  13. To return to the previous menu, press the Left arrow button.
  14. Navigate to Paper Size, then press OK.

SOURCE: Envelopes all come out of the printer wrinkled

Open the back of the printer. You will see 2 little blue levers on either side. Put them in the opposite direction, that is, if they are up, snap them down. I dont know the mechanics of this, but it worked for me.

SOURCE: Printer Error When Printing Envelopes

I had the same problem with my 7260 and I finally changed the paper type from automatic to plain paper. Go to either Properties or Preferences in your printer set up window. Somehow this turns off some sort of sensor. It might work for you, too. To the person who is using the Hallmark program, that is where I first encountered the problem, I then tried to print an envelope from Word and the same error message came up. I found this solution online from someone using a three in one printer/fax/copier so I tried it and it worked for me, too! I hope this helps......

SOURCE: Unable to print #10 envelopes on my Xerox

Although you can lie to the 76XX series machine and get it to print on envelopes, the machine clearly shows that it does not take envelopes on the tray pictures. "Only C4 (229 x 324 mm / 9 x 12.7 in.) and C5 (102 x 229 mm / 4 x 8.7 in.) sized envelopes can be used with this printer; Number 10 envelopes are not supported. Attempting to use any other envelope sizes in this printer could result in jams. or damage to the printer. Do not use envelopes other than what is supported. "

Insert them Face up, flaps closed, leading edge to the right. When it asks, tell it envelopes, and give the size.

In the Envelopes section, under Mailings, Options, choose face up, and the 5th picture. It should work, but the envelopes sure get wrinkled.

I need to print standard size 10 envelopes. Where/How do I load them? WorkCentre7335

Some setup will be necessary both on the WorkCenter and in your software. I will describe these steps and leave you with a link to Xerox to check as a reference:

On the WorkCenter 7335

1) In the Bypass tray, load the std. 10 envelopes width-wise with the side to be printed down, flaps tucked in and with flaps entering the printer first. Slide the guide to just touch the edges.

2) Touch <Change Settings> on the WC 7335 screen

3) Select "Envelope" from the "Paper Type" list

4) Select "No. 10 Env" from the "Paper Size" list

5) Select "Save"

6) Select "Confirm"

In your software:

As you did not specify your software, it is important to note that whatever application you are using, the following settings must agree with the steps above:

1) Feed method = Face down, Clockwise rotation

2) Feed from = Bypass

These options may be chosen in different ways depending on your software program.

You may review these setup steps for Word here:

Envelope printing

The manual bypass tray on the Phaser 8400 can be set only when you have paper in the tray.

The envelope will read in the set up when you have it in the tray.
