Honda es6500 won't start has fire, compression , gas, not voltage at carb, oil light on then goes out when cranking

es6500 generator. Turns over, fire at both plugs (new coil) gas in tank and at carb (no power to bottom of carb) oil light comes on then when cranking goes out (jumped it out as well) traced wire from carb to switch follows all the way back. Jumped out radiator sensor. Pulled flywheel to make key way didn't shear. At a loss no Idea. Have 12volts at both diodes or switches in control panel. When turning over have 3.9-4 volts dc at them. Got me stumped. Thanks

If you run 12volts to the carb, will it run? I assume since it has no power at carb as you stated, that it has a fuel shut off at carb and will need voltage to activate magnet.

If the low oil switch fails, you have to jump the switch for the engine to operate. I have a compressor with that problem. Then either you watch the oil level carefully or install a new switch, which, in my case, requires disassembly of the crankcase.

I got a Honda mantis rototiller,gx25 model 4 stroke, its got a new carb../ plug / gas / oil / fuel filter / ignition switch, its getting gas to carb/ getting spark but it wont start up .....help me..

If you have proper timing, compression, gas and a spark, the engine should fire/run.
Have you tried a spritz of starter fluid to see if it fires ?
The flywheel could have sheared the key and affected timing.
About the last thing I can think of is valve adjustment, specifically the intake valve, although I think it would be difficult to pull the crank rope if that's the problem.

Have A Honda ES6500, under 100 compression but leak down test was ok. Will not start. New gas plugs and new carb?

Is there a spark at the plug?
Is there good induction and fuel reaching the combustion chamber?
Is the choke, strangler or cold start working?

An engine needs compression, timing, the right amount of fuel a good spark and a decent cranking speed in order to start.

A side valve easy start engine is likely to have a low compression pressure as would an ohv engine designed to run on poor fuel. Other types of engine with low compression but a good cylinder leakage results probably has a dry or fuel-washed bore and adding a little oil into the cylinder can improve matters.

Honda gx670 has fire and gas to the carb Carb has been cleaned, fluid goes through all jets and ports.when reinstalled still won't start

remove spark plug an see that its actually firing
spray some gas 1/4 oz in the hole an reattach plug
or
prime the carb does it fire
its either
gas , oil, spark , compression

Have put new fuel pump on ,cleaned carb, new plug, gets gas plug fires but won't start, checked compression at98# don't know what else to do .

The battery voltage on a Suzuki I had would drop low enough during cranking with the electric starter motor not allowing the spark to be strong enough to run, the voltage regulator also didn't function correctly once and as the battery voltage dropped during operation engine would start to bog down and cut out due to low voltage for the ignition system.

My cutoff saw won't start, compression is good, has oil/gas mix, gets spark from wire but sparkplug was dirty so i cleaned it and she still won't turn over

If the saw briefly runs when you prime the carb and/or cylinder with gas then most likely fuel is not getting thru the carb. Try rebuilding the carb and replacing the fuel filter first. You can also search on youtube and google for troubleshooting tips.

The Stihl 038 super won't start. It is getting too much gas on the spark plug when I try to crank it. Just replaced the carb hoping it was that but still it won't start. The saw was working fine a...

hi there mwb15
have you made sure the ignition coil is producing enough voltage to fire under compression load ?

you may get a spark at the plug unloaded but under load it may be breaking down / weak making you think its got a fuel problem ?

does your system use a cdi coil system or point/condenser system ?
spark usually falls into weak spark, no spark catergory

if compression , fuel ( you replaced carb) and exhaust are ok , and you have air and vaccuum tight c/cases only things left are timming and spark

remember F A C T S

F = Fuel A = Air & ( air tight c/cases ) C = Compression T = Timming S = Spark

compression should be about 130- 140 approx if in good running order

take a look and let me know

I have a 1991 honda cr 250 I cant get to start at fist gas ran right thru carb and out bottom i took carb apart and got the floats to stop sticking cleaned it out with carb cleaner put back together but...

try a new spark plug. if u fowl out a plug some time they will not fire under compression.2 strokes need. fuel, fire and air, very simple engines.it is possible crank seal are bad .that doesn't allow the engine to create vacuum in the crank case.thus fuel and air will not make it to combustion chamber.

Gas in the oil

????
what engine are you talking about ?
sounds like the floats are stuck in the carb and have flooded the engine, strip and clean the carb (s) out, change the oil and then try to restart bike.

Honda Civic

just off the wall guess here but sounds like oil filter sending unit in the pan these get cloged with old sitting oil use a solution like warner mystery oil in pan with normal oil this will break down old oil after 500 miles replace oil and do it again for 3 + 500 mile oil changes this will help clean out the old oil
also you might have gotten your plug wires wrong in fireing order
