Try using someone else's computer to format it. If that doesn't work .... then it sounds like the drive itself has sustained physical damage. I would contact whoever sold it to you and ask them for a Return Merchandise Authorization (if you bought it recently) because it is probably dead.

How do i format the kingston datatraveler 310 256 gb to ntfs file system

Hello insert the drive in the usb port.

When you see the drive in the control panel, right click on it and choose format.

Select NTFS in the selection box, and mark quick format and click start.

This could take a while.

You just have to save ALL the previous saved files, before you format, because the files will be lost, when the the drive is formatet.

Good luck

I don't formats my kingston 64gb pen drive

Hi kingkumarae,
Due to viruses , the drive cannot be formatted in many cases, however if you want to format it ,

I would recommend that you restart your computer and plug in the pen drive and then do not autorun it.

When you do that , you can right click on the drive that you find in my computer and then rightly click on select format option, and then you can format your drive.

If this does not work in your computer you can possibly try it in your laptop using the same procedure.

Hope this helps ...:)
