The printer may used on inverter, The power rating of the inverter should be 150% more than the power rating of the printer having 200-300% over load capacity for 33-6 secs.

It must have gotten a surge of electricity when the power came back on. Replace with new unit. Buy it with a visa card or master card and it doubles the manufacturer's warranty. they also have extended warranty, just call the number on the back of card.

You should have an electrician look at it and check the fuses and capacitors.

Sounds like it is either the power supply or the board.

Try disconnecting the power supply (unplug the printer) for about 5 minutes. Reconnect and turn it on. If this works it will probably not be a long term fix. Sounds like your in for a new printer or power supply for it soon. Did you have a electric outage recently? Or power surge?

sure it will not sart up becoz of the power outage coz i think your priner is not in autovolt mode.

You can try to power up with the printhead out, that sometimes causes it to not power up. Otherwise that machine is fried since you can't get a replacement logic pcb anymore.

Sounds like the power outage was a power surge and destroyed your printer, especially if your printer was not plugged into a power surge protector strip. Check with others in your apartment to see if they experienced the same. If so, your landlord may be responsible and can put in a claim. If your printer is still under warranty, contact Canon. Also, check to see if this item is covered by tenant insurance, if you have coverage. Hope this helps.

I have two of these where I work and have seen this problem occur after power outages. I've been able to resolve it by unplugging the power and usb cable and letting it sit for 10-15 minutes . Plug everything back up and it works again (until the next power outage)
