I have a Frigidaire Gallery 13 cycle commercial HD super capacity washer and it will not change cycles automatically. Is this something I can fix myself?

Yes, you can fix this yourself very easy. You will need to replace the "timer". Here is the part you need to order. To install the timer, you will need to remove the back cover on the control panel and gain access to the timer. Then remove the knob from the timer and release the tab holding the timer in place. Slide the old timer out of the unit once the tab is released and unplug the wires going to it. Re-install with the new timer in reverse order.

The key lock light stays on. I held the heated dry button for 4 seconds and the light still stays on. I think it may be the control board, but I am not sure. Can anyone help me please?

If the light is blinking, it is definately a stuck button and the console will need to be replaced. If it is on steady, it could be a console or control board problem. There are no troubleshooting tips to figure out which one is faulty, the manual says replace the control, if that doesn't fix it, replace console. This no problem for most repairmen because we usually have a control board in stock we can put on and try it, but I know it is aggrevating for the do-it-yourselfer that may have to order the parts and can't return the one you don't need.
Thanks, Mike.

Blower fan switch or resistor

Below is a link to the blower fan switch. Also I included a solution I had found on line that helped me in changing this switch. Hope it helps!!

http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/raframecatalog.php?carcode=1386525&parttype=4252&partkey=1185155&a=FRc1386525k1185155-3152474

The problem lies in the blower switch. You can buy the part from your local dealer for about 20 U.S. dollars. In order to remove the part for replacement you will need to remove the whole climate control panel.

1. On the panel behind the cigarette ash tray there are two screws that mount that section of the dash. Remove the screws.

2. Gently but firmly remove the panel.

3. You will need to unplug the cigarette lighter adaptors and the control wires from the control panel before you can completely remove it.

4. You should see a white box on the reverse side of the A/C control panel with a black protrusion that looks identical to the part you purchased. You will need to remove a screw, pull out the LED light and depress a stopper in the circular base of the black protrusion to rotate the part so that it can be removed.

5. Gently but firmly separate the black part from the control box by pulling it out. It may require some effort.

6. Re-assemble the control panel with the new part following the above steps in reverse order. Be sure to place the dial in the correct position for the switch otherwise it will blow high when set to low and blow low when set to blank!

I need to install a new screen in my lcd tv model # lt-32x576 & i need step by step instructions

First, I must ask you the question, have you already purchased the replacement? If you haven't, have you been given a price on one? Normally, the screen of an LCD isn't replaceable because it contains the most expensive parts of the set. In the industry it's called the panel, and most manufacturers will replace your TV if the panel develops a defect while under warranty. However, if you've actually purchased a new panel or a refurbished one, there are some experts here who may know how to install one. Keep in mind though, that most TV repairmen have never had to replace a panel before. Believe it or not, a new panel for an LCD costs more than what you pay retail for the entire set. I work for 4 different TV manufacturers.

Please post a comment if you need additional assistance so that I can help you further.

Timer light flashes tv won`t turn on. mitsubishi model #55859

You have a bad DM board - the capacitors are bad and need to be replaced. I was able to replace them myself. There are no replacement parts available and many repairmen will charge hundreds of dollars and there is no guarantee they will fix it.

I have a KitchenAid KESS907SSS 30" Slide-In Electric Range with a broken glass cooktop. I have the replacement cooktop and want to do the replacement myself as I live on a remote island. It looks like...

Hi,

Problem solved. Followed the instructions given and successfully changed the cooktop.

It turned out that the front control panel needed removal in order to access the screws behind it. After that it was clear sailing.

Thanks for your help with this.

Front display does not light up

I experienced the same problem. Order a control panel piece and replace it (the clock panel -is what it is referred to on parts list). It is a matter of killing the electrical power, unscrewing the contro panel, unplugging the old panel and plugging in new panel. Takes all of 8 minutes to do. I am a woman and did it myself. Got tired of waiting for the man to do it. Lived with the old panel for about 4 months before deciding to handle it. I found the control panel on line for $146. Appliance repair shops quoted $300 and more to do it - telling me the part itself would cost $275. Save yourself some money and the installation was very easy.

4 blinking lights

I fixed it myself!
I bit the bullet and ordered a replacement Power Board for AUS$290 and swapped it out myself.
Only took ten minutes, most of that time was removing and replacing the 101 screws holding the back panel on!
Working fine again now.
I did sit the two boards side by side and noticed the new one had moved some of the micro components from the back of the board to the front plus some other small component changes.
If your handy with a screw driver and have some technical knowhow I recommend having a go at fixing it yourself as it wasn't hard and probably saved $200 in service charges (all this assuming you are out of warranty!)
