GMA refers to your built-in graphics chip which is OK for playing video and for 2D casual games, but Intel's GMA video chips are not powerful enough for playing 3D games. You'll need to buy a separate video/graphics card that plugs into the long slot on your motherboard.

At the last minute, Intel pulled support for openGL in Vista, blaming it on Microsoft changing the final specs for WDDM certification. No WDDM driver was ever released. This prevents Vista from performing basic 3D hardware acceleration with OpenGL. Oddly enough, early releases of Vista had some support.
About the only way you'll probably every have support is if someone else comes up with a 3rd-party driver, since I doubt Intel will ever do anything with an old but classic video card.
