No you cant use the 025 oiler in an MS362 they are two different styles of oil pump. here is the parts manual for the 362 so you can see the way you'd access it and get the part number. http://www.mediafire.com/download/fauw3x2hzwicxrz

SOURCE: chain oiler replacement

If it is Stihl 025 the chain oiler is on the bottom.First check if the worm gear(under the starter)is in good condition.Replace the starter(blocking the piston in the cilinder with a rope with many nods, that rope entering in the sparkplug hole). On the handle there are 4 screws on the right side (under 4 black plastic plugs,at the bottom 2 screws.)CUnlock them and take off the handle. At the bottom you can see the chain oiler( under the hose) the mark for right possition is there.Take off the oiler using a screw(lock clockwise into the oiler)and then pull it out.Clean with compressed air the oil hole.Put back together .Succes!

Ms 170 leaks bar chain oil out bottom, no oil on chain

Your clutch drum bearing has gone bad, letting the clutch drum to move around and cut into the oiler behind it, so now it just pumps the oil out that hole. You have to get that fixed to use the saw, otherwise you're going to cause catastrophic damage to the saw very soon.

Have a stihl MS180 and it is not pumping any oil out of the hole and slot that makes contact with the bar. How do you remove the oil pump?

To remove the oil pump you need the following:
Assembly tool 1123 890 2200 Removing oil pump Puller 1130 893 1400 Installer 1130 893 1500
I would recommend trying to clean out the oiler first.
Please comment on this and tell us what type of oil you were using. There are rumors of wrong oil clogging or wearing the oilers. Was it used motor oil? Thanks Joe

How to replace oil pump in Stihl 018 chainsaw.

The oiler is set in place to a depth premeasured and tough to duplicate without the proper tool. If you use a proper sized bolt 5mm about 200mm long. After threading in till it stops mark the depth with a marker. pull the bolt out and the oiler will be on the end of the bolt.

thread the new oiler on and reverse the procedure.

My recommendation is to see a local service dealer like www.arcolawn.com and purchase the speciality tools:
21 Assembly tool 1123 890 2200 Removing oil pump
22 - Puller 1130 893 1400
23 - Installer 1130 893 1500

After saying all that I would tell you that a dull chain is the number one cause of "oiler problems" because a dull chain will over heat and make it seem as if the chain has no oil.

Good luck
Joe

vote this up if it helped.

How do I replace the oil pump on a Stihl MS170 chainsaw

The oil pump is pressed in from the bottom. There is a special bolt and bracket to make sure the pump is set to the right depth. Your local dealer should bea able to get the tool for you but it will be cheaper to have the shop do the work.

PS it is more common on this saw to have a dull chain act like it is not getting enough oil than to have a bad oiler.
I am gold certified and have been doing repairs since before the ms series. I have only replaced two oilers in that time.

Good luck
JOE

Stihl MS 250 16"

take the bar off and give it a good clean, get compressed air and blow it into the oil tank, making a seal around it first
