I'm hearing a grinding sound coming from underneath my suv. i have replace the brakes about 4 months ago

The sound could be a warning that the front wheel bearings are worn out...this should be a free inspection at your local brake/suspension/muffler repair shop...the bearing seals can deteriorate, and allow foreign objects (small dirt) to be exposed to the bearing...Please have this checked...the grinding probably increases with speed...the faster you drive...Hope this helps.

Grinding sounds

Grinding sounds that last for longer than 3 minutes at a time are usually an indication of something in the wash pump. If the grinding is only for about 2 minutes at a time it would be something related to the drain pump.

It depends on the make and model on how to clean out the pump or drain pump. If you happen to have a tall tub Kitchen Aid, Whirlpool or Kenmore this link has instructions on how to do that.

My dishwasher is just 6 months old and started making a humming sound while washing in th wash cycle.

If you hear unusual noises during dishwasher operation, check to see if a dish or cup is loose and being knocked around during the wash cycle. If you hear grinding, grating, crunching or a buzzing sound, chances are a hard object has gone into the wash module. Once the object is ground up, the noises should cease.

My pool pump has a loud grinding sound

There is a number of things that could be causing the problem. The most likely thing is that a bearing on the motor is going out. The other possibility is that there's a foreign object stuck in the impeller. The best thing to do would be to DISCONNECT THE POWER and then remove one of the pipes connected to the pump. See if the impeller (the wheel with vanes on it) turns freely. If it doesn't turn freely and there's no foreign objects, then it's a bearing going bad. You should turn the pump off because it could damage itself further. Depending on your mechanical skill or availability of a local motor shop, it might be cheaper to get a new motor or whole new pump than it would be to repair it.

Have lg dishwasher LDF6920ST. Making lound grinding noise under machine, sound like gears grinding.

If the machine works fine other than the grinding sound, there is a blade that is in the center and grinds up residue, somtimes it gets a object in the
space and wont grind it up. If you are ok at taking things apart and puting back together, disasemble the center sprayer, screen and tube to top sprayer, the blade is under the screen housing. clean out and reasemble and should work fine. not hard to do really, when you reasemble do not tighten screws as you intall them as they allign everything, intall then all loose then tighten snug NOT to tight as they go into plastic.

It makes noise during the drying cycles

There are 4 possible sources of noise:
1) Drum support assembly - Open the door and turn the drum by hand. If there is a grinding sound and it feels rough, the roller suppot bearings are suspect.
2) Belt tension assembly - Same test as 1 except if you hear the grinding sound but it feels smooth, check the tensioner roller bearings
3) Fan assembly - this can have bearing failure or get foreign objects in it. Access isusually via the back panel
4) Foreign objects - check for things like coins in the space between the front of the drum and the trim around the door opening

It sound like a pump issue. Open the service panel, remove the pump and try to rotate its pulley manually, it should turn freely. In case it doesn't,check if it is clear from any foreign object or it should be replaced. Good luck !
