Why is my Kenmore Elite HE 2 flashing F 02?

The F02 error code on a Kenmore HE3 washer indicates that the control detects a long drain time. This can be caused by excessive suds in the tub, a restriction or clog in the drain system or by a number of other component failures. If the washer did not drain, check for excessive suds in the tub. After the suds dissipate, you can normally run a rinse/drain and spin cycle. Causes for excessive suds include not using HE (High Efficiency) detergent or using too much detergent (even if it is HE type). If the washer will not drain and you do not detect excessive suds, you could have a clog in the drain system. Check the drain hose and the washer drain. You may need to manually unlock the washer door and then pull the large item filter on the pump to check for a clog. To manually unlock the washer door, unplug the washer to disconnect electrical power and remove the bottom front service panel as shown in the top of the image below. Carefully reach up along the inside of the front panel and pull down on the tab that is under the door lock mechanism until it clicks. This will unlock the washer door. Open the door and manually drain the water out of the washer with a wet/dry shop vacuum. Once the washer is drained, arrange some towels to catch residual water that will drain out and remove the large item filter. Check for a clog or restriction that could be preventing the washer from draining properly. If you find no clog or restriction in the drain system, you may have a bad drain pump that needs to be replaced. A problem with the electronic control board could also prevent the washer from draining. If the washer is draining properly but you are getting this code, you likely have a problem with the water level pressure switch or the control board.

F02

The f02 error code is caused when the unit control thinks there is still water in the tub after it has tried to drain. If the washer is full of soap suds it will also display an f02 error code. You will need to use only name brand HE detergent. If your washer is not draining the water out you will need to clean the pump filter. I have provided the instructions below. Run the washer in a drain and spin to ensure the pump is running. If the washer has no water and no suds the problem will be either the pressure switch or a plugged pressure hose. To check the pressure hose you will need to remove the top and remove the hose from the pressure switch.

I have a Kenmore Elite HE3 model 44832 200 washer. Will spin sometimes, but doesn't seem to get to full speed. Often won't spin at all and gets F02 error, but it does roll during wash/rinse cycles. ...

he F02 message is a long drain error and it may mean the pump is clogged or bad. You don't provide a lot of detail about if the water is draining out or not but the first thing to check for this error is the drain pump.

The image below shows how to access the pump and remove the filter. This may be your only problem. With the access panel removed you can also make sure the pump is running. Remember to unplug the washer before removing the access panel.

Check the pump for the F02 and make sure you're using HE detergent and there's not excessive suds.

Keeps showing code f 02 and wont completely empty water it never finishes spin cycle?

F02 error means if the drain time has exceeded more than 8 minutes. After four minutes suds will be displayed on the screen and again after 4 minutes the F02 error code appears.

Check the drain line for any clogs or blocks which hinder the draining procedure..Use of more detergent can even cause this condition..

Be sure you are using only 2 tablespoons of HE soap and not more than that. Check your drain filter also and replace them if needed.

Remove the 3 Torx head screws (located left, center, and right) from the front bottom kick panel of the washer. The drain/filter/pump is right in front

My Kenmore elite he3t is giving me a problem in the spin cycle. Even thought the spin setting is set on high or extra high, the drum turns very slowly and will eventually stop and the washer starts...

The machine will not advance to the high-speed spin cycle unless the water is drained first. The F02 error code manifests this condition as it means draining problem. Either the pump filter is blocked, the drain hose is clogged/kinked, the pressure switch is stuck in the full position, or the pump itself is not working. The display can be cleared by pressing the Pause/Cancel button twice.

Disconnect power and remove the three screws attaching the lower front access panel to the cabinet then pull the panel down and off the cabinet. You can prop up the bottom front edge of the washer or cushion and lean it against the wall to access and remove the screws more easily.

Once the panel is off, remove the filter by turning the knob counterclockwise. Clean the filter from any debris that prevents water from draining out properly. Click on the link below for further troubleshooting should the cleaning of the filter does not resolve the problem.

Stops cycle reads suds or F2

The fault code indicates a draining problem and the display can be cleared by pressing the Pause/Cancel button twice. "Sud" code flashes 4 minutes after the pump is turned on and 4 minutes later "F02" flashes. Either the pump filter is blocked, the drain hose is clogged/kinked, the pressure switch is stuck in the full position, or the pump itself is not working.

Washer will not wash complete load. flashed f02, water not draining

F02 stands for long drain

If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes, the water valves are turned off and F02 is flashed.

you can press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display.

NOTE: After 4 minutes the “Sud” error will be displayed, then 4 minutes later the F02 error code will be displayed.

you might want to check..

• Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked
• Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is running.
• Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects
• If the above does not correct the problem most probably you will have to replace the pump

Kenmore Elite Front Load Washer...F02 and SUD not draining!!!!

Probably something caught in pump. Remove lower panel if this one has it and you will see the pump. Loosen the round cover in middle to access clean-out.
