Drum doesn't really rotate on wash cycle.

On wash cycle, loads water then tries to rotate drum - but only rotates about 3'' at the bottom of drum, takes under a second, stops, then tries to rotate other way and just about gets back to starting point. Repeat until get fed up and cancel program. This applies to all wash programs.
It appears that it just doesn't have the power to rotate the drum with washing in.
I think started to go wrong on F wash setting so used G setting; now all wash settings are like this.
If set to rinse and spin all works 100%.
When the F program started to be unreliable at one point the REDUCE CREASES, RINSE HOLD, TIME SAVE and ON/OFF buttons were all constantly flashing on and off untill Cancel was pressed. Never happened since.

had the repair man out. he says probably the main computer (which is prone to condensation with a combined washer dryer) =approx £80+ish, or could possibly be the front panel (not cheap £?). His advice was call out Hotpoint who charge £85 call-out, but all parts are included as the machine is just under 5 years old. While you're there, the grey door seal is going mouldy so ask for it to be replaced at the same time and something about the door catch too. Presumably in his experience these parts tend to fail or wear so might as well get them sorted whilst 'free'. £25 call out charged.

Whirpool top opening model TDLR 6030L EU/N - the drum is always facing with the opening down when the cycle is finished (with or without clothes loading).

The drum may need to be replaced for your washing machine and the parts that allow the drum to rotate might also need to be replaced as well.

Washer does not spin. Makes noise but drum doesn’t move

replace the rubber drive belt, unplug the machine remove the back panel to reach it as they do get worn and will wash but as the load sits at the bottom of the drum in spin mode the drum becomes heavier when the washing is sitting in the bottom its harder to start the rotation eric

Drum or basket rotates 3/4 turn one direction the pauses 10 seconds then rotates 3/4 turn the other direction during wash cycle. Does the same during spin cycle.

This is normal operation for the machine It is doing this to get detergent and water to all of the loaded cloths and also to balance the load for when it is washing and spinning

Maytag FAV6800AW have replaced clutch and cleaned under tumblers. Machine will not balance. When rotating tumblers entrie drum rotates (during cycle). I removed drum and no leakage out bottom. Does this...

Let?s see if I understand. Are you in a wash/agitate cycle when this happens? If so is the wash basket rotating Clock Wise with the tumblers rotating (washer top raised for observation)? With A Spin Only cycle selected and some clothes in the wash basket. Raise the washer top from the base and observe the wash basket rotation. The wash basket will rotate CCW the spin direction. Do the tumblers rotate while the wash basket is rotating CCW? If so the load will go off balance. What series is your machine it will be the first two digits of your Serial Number i.e. 10 through 17. Was the original clutch replaced because of severe rust of the One-Way Roller clutches/bearing in the clutch Pulley assembly? Do you have the original clutch pulley assembly? Did your machine use the upper the One-Way Roller clutches/bearing ring? Your series number will help me but if you can confirm. I?ll try to help?.Rich

LG Tromm WD 12270 RD washer and dryer

Hi, I don't know how to fix your problem, Lia, unfortunately, BUT wanted to say "Thank You!!" for mentioning that you can get the washer to run through the cycle by rotating the drum and switching to cold water wash! We'd tried unplugging, leaving it unplugged overnight even, but the code/beeping started immediately after plugging back in. I'm kind of longing for an old-school washer right now, thinking of all the things that can go wrong with the newer digital-age computerized ones :-) If you see this, please share what you did to solve your washer problem! Hoping it's not too expensive to fix...or I should say to GET it fixed :-\
