Emachine W1135 the tower will not send signal to the monitor....was occaisionally booting up...after several trys...now the monitor comes on then to blue flashing start button ....The tower runs and never boots to monitor...Monitor is good....checked all the power up cords...The tower never boots up....only one year from purchase...Been told it needs a new motherboard...but what about the power supply that could have blown it up? What would you try first...

That is exactly what the computor tech said....and its so new I wondered about the power supply first...Why does a motherboard go out so quickly...I had an old emachine and I dumped it after all the problems...My mother is 76 and went to wallmart and bought one without asking anyone...Its past its 90 day warranty from wallmart and she doesnt have an extended warranty plan...just want to be sure beforre she puts 170.00 more in such a machine...I personally dont and wont ever own another one...repair shops dont even want to work on them...Thank you for your response...very much appreciated...Jolleena

dell dimension 4400 computor, push start button, light comes on but the fan doesn't run, no signal sent to monitor, this is an intermittent problem after unplugging and plugging tower about a dozen times the computor boots up and runs normally.

I have emachines w3653 and the no signal keeps popping up

Are you still using the monitor that came with or have you replaced that monitor? The monitor or the cable connecting it to the tower could be faulty. If possible try connecting another cable between the monitor and the tower and then if you still get the no signal message, try another monitor altogether.

Can i connect my xbox 360 using Dvi D to Hdmi in the dvi slot and also my tower to the vga slot on my eMachines E19T6W

I am not an xbox person, but as far as hooking it up, it should work as long as the other device is NOT powered up. That being said you will still have to provide audio from the xbox another way as dvi only carries a video signal, unlike the hdmi which carries both audio and video.

When you turn the tower on only yellow light comes on no green, monitor yellow light when you hold in blue light then says no signal goes back in sleep mode

try seeing if one of the ram Modules is loose. If they're tight, try taking them out one at a time and booting each time until all out (unless it starts with one out). If you take one out and it boots then that RAM mod is bad. If you remove them all start putting them back in ,in the same order you took them out in (if you took them out left to right put them back in left to right one at a time booting each time.
Good luck

Emachine - no signal

This isnt a one step fix. Power off unit then while powering on tap F8 key to get menu with option to boot to safe mode. If this works could be a driver or malware issue which can sometimes cause windows to come up in safe mode but not normal mode. This is only a start not a solution.

connect another working Monitor to the tower, if this solve the problem send in the monitor to the monitor's authorised repair center. If the problem is not solved, replace the Vedio card on the tower

Screen comes on says Acer then No Signal, and goes out. if shut power off and then back on get same result.

This means the monitor believes it's not connected to the computer. Verify the cables first of all. Then try booting in safe mode (F8 key at PC startup) in order to verify that the PC is sending data to the proper video port (you might have a dual VGA / Digital output, for example, and the monitor might be connected to the wrong PC port). Quite often, a "bad signal" will be the same of "no signal"; and you can have a bad signal if the monitor resolution on the PC is set too high. This could happen if you installed a high-resolution capable monitor, and then replaced it with a not-completely-plug-and-play, lower resolution one. The PC would keep sending hi-res signals to a monitor which can neither interpret them, nor tell the PC "please slow down". To check this last possibility, reboot your computer while the monitor is ON. When PCs reboot, they usually drop back to standard VGA signaling, which all monitors understand. If the monitor abruptly comes to life and displays a boot screen, then goes No Signal again after several seconds, you've got a resolution issue; get in Safe Mode with F8 key at boot, and modify the screen properties (right-mouse button on the desktop, then Properties).

If everything else fails, try also connecting the monitor to another PC or laptop, to see if it works there.

Monitor blue light comes on shows emachines logo and color bars then monitor turns off and light turns yellow

your monitor is beleiving it is not receiving any signal from your pc. 1 make sure your cables are secure. 2 make sure your pc is on. 3 borrow a monitor from a freind to see if your pc is sending the signal out, if the borrowewed monitor is showing a picture, hook yours back up. 4 if still not picture your mpcb or video pcb in the monitor is bad.

No signal display on monitor.

Hello,
1. Check all the connections to make sure they are connected securely and properly. 2. Open your tower case and make sure you video card is seated properly by removing it and then placing it back in the slot. While you have the case open it would be a good idea to clean the inside of it out with some compressed air (remember to always unplug your system from the power source when working inside it unless you are a qualified technician). 3. If problem continues, try using another monitor to check if your monitor has gone bad. If it displays ok on a different monitor then your monitor is bad, if it still does not display you may need to replace your video card.
