Check to make sure the printer is set as the default printer. You can do that by - click start - go to devices and printers, from there right click on the local printer and choose - set as default printer. Now test print a document and see if it prints.
Yourprinter ink has spiltonto the main ICU and needs to cleaned thoroughly. This is a job for a technician. The ink is all over the roller. It will only get worse. It now needs a techy to cleanproperly.
Quickly try to press cancel on the printer and then turn it off. Then Open the print queue and right click on the document and select "cancel" you may need to do this a number of times, and if you can't get it out of the queue, reboot the computer and delete it then if it is still in the queue.
There should be a little print queue icon down by the clock. Double-click on this to open the print queue program. From there you can remove jobs from the queue. NOTE: It can take a minute or two for jobs to remove themselves. It's not instant.

Ensure the Paper Tray is Not Overfilled Each printer tray has a maximum capacity rating, and this rating is based on a specific paper weight and or thickness. Consequently, situations might arise in which the tray will not be able to accommodate the maximum number of sheets listed in the printer specifications. Verify that the paper is not packed too tightly in the paper tray Adjust the Printer Paper Guides Adjust the paper guides to fit the size paper being used (Figure 1). The guides should be close (1/16" or less) to the paper without touching, so that the paper stays properly aligned without continually rubbing the guides. Locate and Remove Any Obstructions Inside the Printer and Input Tray Open the front cover and make sure the kickstand (if there is one) is engaged. Locate and remove any obstructions within the printer, such as paper pieces, staples, tape, or other objects. Close the cover. Remove all paper from the input tray. Inspect the input tray for any obstructions. Remove any visible obstructions. Reinsert the paper. Determine if Multiple Sheets Are Fed at Once From the Paper Tray or ADF Determine if multiple sheets are fed at once from the the paper tray or Automatic Document Feeder (ADF). Verify the print media installed is compatible with the printer Clean the ADF Paper Feed Roller Disconnect the AC power from the printer. Open the cover of the Automatic Document Feeder (Figure 1). Figure 1: Raise the Cover of the Automatic Document Feeder Using a damp paper towel, gently wipe the rubber roller to remove any ink or paper debris (Figure 2). Figure 2: Paper Feed Roller on the Automatic Document Feeder Close the cover and reconnect the power. Reseat the Dell Printer Power Adapter If your printer has a momentary loss of communication with your computer, it may be necessary to reset the printer to re-establish communication. You can reset a Dell? inkjet printer by unplugging the printer power cord from the electrical outlet and from the back of the printer for 10 seconds then reattaching the cord at both ends. If the printer queue icon is showing in your system tray (by your clock), you may have documents that are paused for printing. To resume printing a paused document: Double-click the printer queue icon to check document status of the active printer. Right-click on any documents that show Paused under Status, and then click Resume in the drop-down menu. Try a Different Type of Print Media Many image quality and paper feed issues are caused by the type of print media being used. Try a different type of print media that is specifically made for this printer. Replace the printer.
If you're trying to print out PDF's directly off a web site, this could be your problem. There's coding anomalies between web pages and imbedded PDF's that can cause some printers to lock up, show error codes or simply not print the screen out. You may want to avoid these web page PDF's as to my knowledge there's presently no solution to directly print these out.
Also, if the document is first in line in your print queue it can block any other documents from printing, so you'll need to delete the PDF from the queue.
If I remember correctly, disconnect the print cable, then reboot the machine. I saw that problem once and its been a while, but I do believe thats how I finally got it to stop. Then clear out the print queue.
That's very weird, I have been thinking about your problem a lot. What I am wondering is if somehow there is a piece of paper between the print head and drum, but that should be moved out of the way by the wiper blade assembly. There is a compressor that creates the pressure to spray the ink onto the page. That could have failed, or one of the hoses disconnected. The other thing is the print head itself. But if this was a sudden thing, it really isn't likely the print head jets failed all at once. That would be bizarre considering the amount of jets on that print head. If there were an electrical problem with the print head, the machine would definitely give you a fault code, and if the print head was not going into the proper position you would no doubt get an 07,xxx.xxx code. I have to conclude the compressor or a bad or somehow disconnected hose. The compressor is near the ( looking from the front) the right side , near the top rear of the machine, It is a black box and has a hose with a wire wrapping around it.
Checkthe paper size (paper,driver,etc)
try printing from the bypass tray
try printing an internal test page
try printing the usage profile (internal) this may give you a fault code
