Can be a problem with a misplaced connection, more likely the Ysus card to be replaced.

does the vertical lines appear like solid vertical bard infront of the pictire??

The screen is failing. A conductive strip from a flex connector to the glass panel is losing contact when cold. Any warranty left? extended warranty? Usually not repairable, screen has to be replaced and cost as much as a new set....

How old it ur tv,ur plasma bulbs might need be replace.Could be the plasma tube it bad because long times use.But ur plasma screen it self could damage kind radiation not worth repairing.
U alway make deal with the repair man come out for estimate.Cost u like u repair with him.
Make sure ask him come out for no cost some charge $40 come out.

According to what i could find, there is no way to actually SOLVE the problem, this is what i did find; The plasma display panel is lighting the phosphors by the discharge of internal radiation. Depending on the screen contents, in rare cases this may cause vertical stripes to appear because of failure to light. Please note that this is not a malfunction.

this is not an easy fix. the screen ,or the x or y screen drivers are bad .

Had this same issue on right side of 52" about 1 inch from side but had 3 vertical lines that disappeared after 40 minutes. Have Samsung LNT5265FX/XXA and about 16 months old. LCD Panel itself had to be replaced to fix it, fortunately had extended service plan

This sounds like one of the driver boards at the bottom or top of the screen has an intermittent fault. The set will have to be taken in to a service centre.

This maybe the symptom of a bad Panel. One Vertically This line is 99% bad panel. Call your warranty provider or SONY tech support if purchased under 2 years.
