Wheels 0n troybilt rototiller won't turn

Many Troybuilt Tillers have Pins on the Wheels and axle. Like troybuilt Bronco for instance. If you want the wheel to turn you need to set that pin so it goes through the rim and through the axle.

How do I change the belts on a troy bilt tiller

remove plastic belt cover
remove the guard,belt/pulley
work in the right side first:
remove the rigth-side wheel
remove the screws of the bumper
remove 2 screws on bracket/transmission assembly
pull the bracket
install the new belt
reinstall the right side screws and wheel

do the same in the left side
Ps: remove the belt guide, and reverse return spring

The engine type is key here. For example if you have a tecumseh engine you will need the instructioins for that and if you have a Kohler engine the instructions will be different.

I have a 1979 TroyBuilt tiller too. Justaskjoe is correct regarding the engine.
I bet you have a tecumseh engin. The points, etc. are under the flywheel. You need a flywheel puller. Once you have the flywheel off, it's all there. Points gap is .020 and fyi the spark plug gap is .030

Remember the parts for the tiller are not gotten from the same supplier as for the engine.
