Generally buttons are located at front only. but if it is not there then it will be inside in the shape of small variable res. called preset. vertical hold button will be near vert.section &horz hold near h/ section.

On a mitsubihi wt42311 tv where are the STK-392-110 convergence chips located?

Pretty easy to see them as they are marked with that number right on them.

They will be side by side and on a metal heat sink to keep them cool.

Mitsubishi 72" Model VS70705. Picture

The picture rolling up and down is caused by the vertical oscillator running off frequency. Usually caused by a Capicator that has burnt out and started leaking and causing the frequency to be off. Static sounds like weak signal, however the vertical oscillator could be corrupting the picture. If you are not a trained TV Technician don't try to fix it yourself. There's a lot of junk back there and knowing where the vertical oscillator section is located and which capacitor is bad will require a tech manual or a 'Sam's Photofacts' to hunt it down. dhgill1949

Horizonal and vertical off.

My picture is too big for my screen also, I have a 27 inch screen and I can't see the scrolling tickers on the bottom and the baseball score readout on the top. When I turn the tv on, the heads are huge on the top and that finally comes into proportion, but it goes too far. I can't find a horozontal or vertical control in the manual or on the tv menu. What can I do?

Only have one horozontal line across mid screen

Horizontal line shows problem in Vertical Deflection area of TV, please check Vertical Output IC and its voltage supply. You didn't mention model and brand name so I gave you general information for that problem.

TEAC CT-M685

This is a vertical-deflection problem. Try to adjust the vertical (height and linearity and hold) controls, which should be screwdriver potentiometer controls on the back of the set.

If this does not work, a defective component in the vertical-deflection circuit will need to be repaired.

I hope this helped you. :)

My mitsubishi vs 5071

You might have a bad PIP board, When you say NO picture. Is it totally blacked out or blacked out with "blue snow". The PIP has been alot of problems in this chassis and you will experience what your describing. Capacitors are the root of the PIP boards failure. Let me know if I can assist you further.
