I need my lanier ld122 copier to connect to my iMac as a printer but it won't pick it up on the network. What are the steps I can go through to try to troubleshoot this problem?
Does this printer have the PS option installed? If not you will be unable to print even if you clear up the network issue.
As far as network goes is it currently connected and working with other PCs?
Mac printing is easily setup by typing the IP address of equip in the queue box upon setup. I believe the default queue name is "print" all lower case. If IP in unable to work properly make sure lanier has appletalk turned on and setup printer using appletalk.
Again if the machine doesn't have Postscript option you won't be able to print anything.
Hope this helps,

Thank you so much for your help. I'm not completely sure how to check if it has Postscript as an option. It's still not working, though. The copier has AppleTalk turned on and when I go into system preferences to set it up as a printer, it recognizes the IP address but then doesn't connect when I go to print. The copier has a mac address that I've tried inputting during setup but my mac says it's not a valid number. AH! If you have any other suggestions I'd greatly appreciate it. :0)
