This could be one of two issues. You may just simple need to change your screen size within windows. However, if you are using the software for your video card, there may be a setting in there that may be useful.
Thanks for helping ms. I tried increasing the size from display properties but the tv says not supported. So I'm lost ...
ok i just want to be sure that I have this correctly, +-
ok so I hope i have this correct, since you have the vga cable connected and your tv says not supported, have you checked to make sure that your colors are 256 or more. This might have changed and would cause you to have a difference in your screen. Secondly ensure that the vga cable is unplugged from your tv. If you could send a snap shot of what it is your looking at, it might help as well. When you go and set up your tv, do you get a picture that shows monitors 1 and 2? If so choose the one that shows your laptop monitor. These too can make changes because the aspect ratio is different from tv to computer monitor

SOURCE: I have a Sony Vaio
As far as I know, that is not possible. You can have both screens show the same image, but it is not designed for a true "split" screen.
The vid output is just relaying what the screen shows, it's not a true "2nd" output

From the looks of the TV manual you have everything right, so it's very odd you're running into this problem.
Have you tried swapping through the sources? I find with one of the TVs we have on display at work that any time I'm having some troubles with it I will change the source from PC to something else, then back to PC.
If that doesn't work then I'd suggest you try reseting the sound settings back to factory default. The instructions are on page 45 of the TV manual. From the TV menu select "Sound", then "Sound Reset", then either "Reset All" or "Reset Sound Mode". I would suggest reseting all.
Last option would be to try using the headphone jack in the side of the TV, though this is a last resort kind of thing since you would have to unplug it every time you wanted to use the cable box.
Hope this helps :)

You can install a video card that has a dual monitor VGA port.
Matrox makes inexpensive PCI cards.

Right click the free area on your desktop, choose Properties, go to Settings tab and change the display resolution slider to the native resolution of your display, which is I beleive 1280x768 pixels.
