ok can u turn the tumbler freely,
if no well there is something stuck in you blower like a sock or something
if the tumbler turns freely
keep the door open and hold the door switch
try pushing the start button
and tuning the tumbler, yes all three at the same time lol you may need a hand
try tuning the tumbler when you hear a hum
if it takes off bad news your start winding on the motor is bad or the capacitor depending on your model
if it does not turn, but the hum continues longer than 1-2 minutes it could be just a belt
hate to be the bearer of bad news but it sounds like ur motor is going out. Had this happen to my last dryer. If this is the case it will eventually just stop. Try running it without any laundry in it. if this works, then load it and see if it still works. (poor little motor has to work a bit harder with a full load) good luck.
there is a possiblity that the door switch is not working. if you are handy refer to he parts book to see how to remove the switch and check for continuity.
This sounds like the motor is siezed or burned out. I wish I knew how much a motor is, but the Neptune is a good dryer so it would probably be worth it to get a new motor if indeed that's the problem.
