You have a broken drum belt. The hum you hear is the motor spinning at high speed.

While the drum is rotating you should hear the CLICK associated with the gas valve assembly powering up to give out a blast of heat. If ya don't hear no click check the duct fuse. Right next to the control thermostat. If it is blown it kills the circuit to the gas valve assembly. If that fuse is good and the control is also good, then check the flame sensor for continuity, If it is open then the ignitor won't glow. The ignitor must glow and change in resistance then the flame sensor must open up and kill power to the ignitor so that power will be shifted to them coils on the gas valve. I believe that everything else is fine rather it is the thermal fuse that is located inside the rear panel to the exhaust duct that is bad and should be replaced. If you want you can test this fuse for continuity and if it is bad then it should be replaced, as it cannot be reset. If the fuse is fine then it can be due to the control board that is bad and should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

If the unit is less than a year, you problem is a restricted vent system and not in the unit either. A simple test would be disconnect the vent from the back of the unit, run the dryer. If your clothes dry faster, your problem is in the vent system. If no improvement, problem is in the dryer. Get back to me and let me know how this goes.

If the fuse is fine then check the dryer belt and idler pulley...Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

The belt is either bad or worn out, also the idler pulley should be checked. Hope this helps...please elaborate for further assistance.
