Nortel m7310 cant use touch tone

I have a nortel m7310 office phone and when i call out and have to make a number selection (ex. press 1 for english) I cannot do so. I will press the correct number but it wont make the selection. What can i do?

Try Feature 808 before pressing the touchtone digit - it tells the Norstar to send Long Tones to the remote system.

Hi, is there a way to get a M7310 to recieve a wireless signal? Is there a way to broadcast the signal (like a home wireless phone) to an existing Nortel M7310, my wife is running out of phone jacks in the...

Unfortunatly Nortel system phones cannot work wireless with the exception of thier wireless set which still require a jack/port for the base unit.

We have nortel t7316 phones in our office. one

Programming is done on M7310, M7324 and T7316 sets.
To set up ringing you need to enter programming by pressing the feature key followed by **266344.When prompted to enter the password enter 266344.
The screen should say TERMINALS&SETS. The 4 top line/feature keys are now used for programming.
At the terminals&sets prompt,
press the show key (top right arrow).
The display should now ask for an extension number. Enter extension number you wish to program ringing on.
Press the show key (top right arrow)
The display should sat LINE ACCESS
Press the show key (top right arrow) .
The display should say LINE ASSIGNMENT.
Press the show key (top right arrow) .
The display ask for a line number. press list
The display should say line 001: appear & ring
press the Chng key till it says appear only
press next key (lower right arrow)
The display should say line 002: appear & ring
repeat the procedure the same as line 001 for the remaining ringing lines

press the release key when finished

Sounds like your touchtone gate has been enabled in your voicemail. To disable the touch tone gate enter feature 983. if your system has 2 digit intercom #s your default password is 120000 if your system has 3 digit intercom #s your default password is 1020000. once you have entered the password you will see 3 selections you can make .use the three soft keys under the display and select AA (auto Attendant). next press 1, the display should say TT gate:std chng and ok. press the chng key til it says none and press ok press the rls key when finished.

A question: -> does your phone ring? -> what software are you running on the system? If you know this will help a little in giving you more information. There is a Feature that you can dial if your phone rings... when there is a call coming in, dial FEATURE 8 1 1 You can even make this a button rather than dialing this feature code everytime: -> Feature * 3 -> press the button that you want to program -> dial Feature 8 1 1

Norstar M7310- buttons don't produce tone anymore

Its the problem from the system.

Go to the programming of Norstar by Feature **266344 and the password is 266344.
Go to line datd or line and make dialling made as Tone.
It will fix ur problem.

Try to cancel a function on my phone

If you are French it means: Appel reçu
If you are English it means: Call Received

To change your phone back to English, goto the set giving you issues
-> press the FEATURE button
-> dial * 5 0 1

This will change your telephone set back to the English language.

Nortel M7310 Phone moved to another jack, now no incoming calls

you need to go to your previous location and get the jack number, than go to the new location and get the jack number. now go to the phone system closet and look for these cable numbers on the 66 blocks. Swap the cross connect of the jacks and wallah your phone will be your s again! ldtnsj.com
