My start button on my kenmore built-in oven w/microwave won't wor

I have a kenmore 27" electric built-in oven w/mircrowave. The start button will not work. Sears came and looked at it and said I have to get a whole new control panel. The cost $695.00 Is there anywhere elso I can get this control panel or try to fix the panel itself. Everything else works on it except the start button. The model # is 911.47699100. I would appreciate any help

My kenmore model number 911-47699100 oven doesn't work. Everything except the oven and broil works--cleaning, all timers, start button, etc. All that happens when you push start is about every 30 seconds, two relays can be heard making and breaking kind of like a click then immediately a clack. No error codes appear. Replaced sensor but that didn't work. Any help would be appreciated.

How do I unplug built in oven kenmore 911?

there may not be a plug in for this unit as most ovens are hard wired and will require an electrician to disconnect safely

JKP86-27 neither heating element (broil or bake) is working. Other controls and microwave work fine.

In my case the problem was the solder around the pins of the DLB relay heated up and melted away from the pin. I found this info on another post. I put more solder on and built it up to the top of the pin to provide more metal there.

Update 8/27/2016
I've found other similar problems, e.g. on a Bosch dishwasher. The symptom is solder is vaporized on relay pins. One poster said if the relay contacts wear and increase their resistance this will cause the pins on the circuit board to overheat and vaporize the solder. So if this is the case just adding more solder may only add additional time. The true fix would be to replace the relay to solve the overheating problem. Nevertheless it's been four years since I added solder and it's still working fine.

I also had a problem like this with my Craftsman garage door opener. It was flaky- it would sometimes just blink and then stop (and it wasn't the obstruction sensor). When I took out the circuit board I found a poor solder joint. Some posters also said the pins on the circuit board connectors could fatigue and stop making good contact (in this case you have to bend them to make good contact again). Likewise the wall button/IR motion sensor started acting up and I found resoldering some pins fixed it. So loose solder or connector issues might be common.

We installed kitchen aid microwave convection oven model kems308. it is displaying error code F6E0, "Lost communication". Any idea on how to fix?

Turn the power to the oven off. It usually is not possible to unplug the power chord for the built-in appliances so go to the main switch board and just turn off the oven power for about 5 minutes and then turn on the switch. The error code should disappear. Mine did!

What would cause the microwave oven to go out other than the power?

The magnatron is cooked or timer and/ or wire inside. If it is older, buy a new one. The repair cost on it is not worth it. Proabally over 100 bucks to start
