Hi. My 6 year old jvc camcorder now has permanently upside down images on the viewfinder - was fine only 2 days ago. It now also records images upside down. Sometimes when the screen is opened it stays correct for 1-2 secs then flips over. Also, almost every tape used (even brand new ones) get chewed/stuck when rewinding giving an EO3 error. Many valuable tapes have been damaged this way. Only serviced last year! Please advise - still worth fixing again??
Thanks.

JVC has issued a notice on many models that bring up a "lens cap" error. However, the GR-DX25EK is not included. The model you have posted on its page(GR-DX95) is though. This problem is still very common with models that aren't on the said list, given that and the fact that your model is from the same series, you might get some consideration from JVC. No harm in trying. The listed models get a free repair. Heres a link to the notice from JVC: http://www.jvc.com/support/notification/index.jsp?pageID=2 Good luck

I cleaned the heads with isoprophl alcohol on a q- tip and it started working again with no problems.
