Hi I am vortash one of the big problems with digital cameras especially the type that the screen folds out like the one depicted in this picture , is that the Plastic and copper ribbon that connects the screen to the circuit is prone to cracking and breaking hence no picture on the lcd .
So the only alternative unless you can do it yourself ( and this is not advisable unless you dont mind if you muck it up lol ) is to take it to a local engineer for repair , or return it to the manufacturers for a quote on repair .. regards Vortash

that is the dew sensor making this,
try whit an air dryer a low temp set
and blow air inside for a few seconds max a minutes
and let it rest for a while and try it again
removed the battery out befor doing this
if it not work you needs to replace the sensor(dew)
usely its work/ dont forgot to eject your cam

This a fairly generic mechanical error code for JVC (may as well say re-attach lens cap,which would work as well as battery).The problem will most likely result in replacement of mechanism or drum motor to restore normal operation.Either way part cost is upwards of $100.00 and may not be cost effective.My suggestion would be to contact mfg,as they have had many complaints regarding this error on this model and see if they will accommodate you in some way.Contact JVC support at www.jvc.com

Unless the video is stored on the memory card you cant transfer it directly, you need a video capture device, it is an attachment to your Computer that manages the transfer of taped video copies to digital...

Hi, i had the same problem and was suggested i visited the JVC website, this could be the manufacturers error reported on their web site. Failure of the CCD image sensor. Check JVC UK web site, support centre, if your camcorder has the problems listed, until 01/10/07 they will cover repairs. Mine now works ok. Hope this helps
