The space bar on any PC is a single button you may need to make sure your keyboard is clear of any debris If that doesn't fix issue you will probably need to replace keyboard which is very easy to do. [email protected]

Right and left click do not work, space bar slow

Hi

As you said that the Right and left buttons are not working as well as the space bar, then it could be the issues with some dust particle inside the keyboard.
Try to clean it. Try to use it hope it will work , but in case it don't work then you need to replace the Keyboard.

In case if you have any more trouble do contact back in Fixya.
Thank you

How do i adjust the contrast on my acer aspire 5738z laptop

@tonymclau330

Try the following:

For Windows Vista / 7
1. Press the Fn+Left Arrow Key for brightness down and Fn+Right Arrow Key for brightness up (the Fn key is located at the left side of the space bar)
2. If that won't work, go to Start > type Power Options and click on the Power options icon.

3. Adjust the screen brightness bar below.

Font to big

to use another type of font look into:

start -> settings -> control panel -> Fonts

other solution is to adjust your display to use another higher resolution:

right click on empty space on the screen and select property
a window title "display property" should pop out
select the tab "setting"
on the middle of the left side there is a bar for increasing / decreasing
the resolution

hope it helps

I have to press the space bar right in the middle for it to work.... any help?

Hi!
I had the same problem when i got the keyboard. In my case, it was because the tiny metal bar that is supposed to transfer the pressure from the right and left sides of the bar to the mittle was not attached correctly.
I removed all the screws from the back of the keyboard (note that there are screws underneath the rubber pads, but don't worry about them, they will stick to the keyboard again) and lifted off the top (including the keys). Then i could pop off the space bar from behind (didn't work for me otherwise... maybe it is possible to pop it off without removing all the screws) and correctly insert the metal bar into the mounting.
Hope this helps.

Left side of space bar on Dell XPS M1330 difficult to use

I had the exact same problem and contacted Dell support. They sent a tech to swap out just the keyboard. I have a feeling these keyboards are not of the highest quality as I do have some issues with the Ctrl key now. But it's much less annoying than the broken spacebar.

Allocation of fingers on keys

HOME KEYS: Left index finger goes on the "F" (you should feel a small bump on the key), left middle finger --> "D", left third finger --> "S", and left pinkie finger --> "A". Right index finger --> "J" (feel bump), right middle finger --> "K", right third finger --> "L", and right pinkie finger --> ";" (semi-colon/colon key). Both thumbs rest on the space bar While the fingers basically stay on those keys, you stretch up & down for the keys closest to the "home keys" (example: use pinkie for "enter" key on the right; use left index finger for "R" and "T). It takes a little while to get used to this but it's the proper way to type, and it is efficient so once you get used to it, you'll be typing like a pro!!

Space bar

If the bar works when you hit right in the middle try reinstalling the bar the metal rod must go under the tabs on the keyboard, if it won't at all you probably need a keyboard.
