Black printing is printing in pinks and mauves.

I have done a Printer test page and that has been perfect. It only seems to be when I print Black and white photos that it happens. Appreciate any help.

I'm having the same problem. Or it'll print the first inch in black, and then start printing pink.

I did that and that was fine.But I have just tried to print a colour photo and that is awful - one side is a mauve with very slight skin tones and the other is pink. The photo was a family one.

Printed it from My Pictures. Have just done one now from Windows Mail. But it is pink this time without the mauves.

Try and print a document from word with different text colors say blue green and red then in bold check text in black. this will give you a clue to what is happening to the colors.

Hi, It sounds like you need an updated driver for your printer to match with win.7. Go to the lexmark site and download a new driver for your printer. And after that do an alignment page.

5110cn printer printing all pink pages. Can clear it up by printing many black and white pages only through it but the next printout that has color it will print all blue pages. Not constant on what color...

try to print test pages, check if toner is fused to paper. probobly toner issues

Will not print text in documents, only headings.

When you go to print on your settings select print in black only. Did you buy Brother ink? Having old cartridges refilled or buying generic can pose a problem. I remember correctly brothers have a chip on the ink cartridge? I have gone through so many printers and its really not worth going any further, seems as though you have put sometime and effort in to this 100$ printer. Take 100$ & buy a kodak easy share all in one the ink is 15$ brand new.
