I've had the same error:

Hold down the following keys:

Photosmart Express, Photo Fix, Reprints, Print Photos and then Help.

You'll get the message: "Enter Special Key Combo"

Press OK.

Scroll over to Reports then self test: and press ok, it should print. a selftest report.

If you get an error Pen in Chute 1, or 2, has tsr failure: Call/Chat with an HP technician.

Do you have it plugged in?

You were probably piggy-backing on someone else's router, and they changed names, passwords, etc. But if you have a cell phone and internet access with that cell phone, you can set such a cell phone up as a hot spot (sharing internet connection)! The cell phone will tell you the SSID #, as well as the password which you will have to enter into the HP printer to let it connect.

The easiest and fastest method I have learned and used for months is as follows:
1. Press left arrow and settings buttons simultaneously
2. Press OK
3. Browse to information menu
4. In the info menu browse to the selection which ends with LOI in parenthesis
5. Press OK
6. Now move back to the main menu by pressing the cancel button a few times

It should go in with the exact same motion as the other cartridge. If it doesn't, carefully examine the path for any obstructions. Had that happen on some printer where the cartridge would not go in. It was part of the "cradle" that held the cartridge in place. A piece broke and ..........Had to be reglued before proceeding any further with the cartridge.

try uninstalling your current driver or
update your printer driver
it should help...

Patrick, the display will ask you to replace cartridge if no ink. Some cartridges are transparent and you can see ink level - I don't know if yours are. goodluck
