My kenwood gives out some strange smell as if the cables inside are melting when I start it. The last time I used it, I had to stop as it couldn't blend. Please help, its quite new!!

TLC is traction control lamp. (lots of cause, read the FSM or operators guide its all there, just read it)

what coil?
what engine?
is it a COP coil?. coil over spark plug?
AKA> IGNITION COIL.
cars have many coils. relays , solenoids and spark,
name it.?
any coil at any time can short., they all do eventually
all things have and end, and shorting out is one thing.

add heat, and time an water , and boom faster.
a shorted spark pug can overload a COP.
doing tuneups on time ,saves the cost of new $100+ cop

the coil can short if the ECU that drives it fails.
if the ECU sends infinite dwell to the coil it does burn up every time.
we never change an cop until we check the drive line'
all this is in the FSM. and taught in all ASE classes.

we don't just swap parts and pray.
we do the tests and. then repair the cause first, then the collateral damage. last.

some cops dont have an ignitor inside.
and if the cop wire shorts to ground it burns up.
the exacty engine and year, we can look up that too.

Hi,
I have kenwood rxd m1md . it was on and it got extra voltage. now its not working.
the current condition is now when I turn it on, the display turned on for 2/3 seconds and then it shuts down. few green -------------- dots blinks starts, some times "auto power control on " also displays.
Please tell me what happend to this unit? which IC or part have to change?

posibly not melting glue as there not used in making the machine try putting a blech hot water wash cycle a few times in the machine and if the washer is not being used leve the door open to allow the unit to breath and stop using powder wash detergent use liquid wash detergent

Hello- Yes it can be fixed- first, make sure outlet is not damaged. If it is, it will need to be replaced. Next, plug is wired into a terminal block on back of unit. With care, this cord is easy to replace. And safer than it was before. A loose plug, or wire caused the fireworks. Let me know if this info helps- have more if needed. -Thanks- ED

Normally, the last part of any cycle involves using the heater element inside, and at the bottom of, the dishwasher to give dishes a final hot rinse. Possibly some small plastic-type material has become melted and stuck to the element - which will remain hot even after all water is discharged. Hence the smell.

I have this unit. Mine stopped working today after being warm on the handle the last few uses. I opened the unit up (torx 15) and smelled, then found that a fused wire coming off the motor had burned/melted/separated at a plastic plug right inside the handle. I'm not sure if it had anything to do with it, but in this same compartment of the handle there was an anti-theft strip floating around. I used white vinegar and ran it through with hot boiling water about three or four times worked a treat

Whatever the pulley is attached to has seized. Either the water pump or tub drive, or something else has stopped spinning. The belt continued to run because the motor kept pulling it, and the friction from the belt melted the plastic pulley. Hopefully its the water pump, as its the most inexpensive. You should change the belt along with this fix, it has also got hot and probable will not last as long as it should.

if you have a toxic smell and nothing fell on it dont use it change the heater for safety dont waste time cheers

Have you cleaned the evap coil? Most often smells come from the evap coil. A bleach type product used for cleaning will solve this problem. Thanks
