Need unlock code for Kenwood model KDC-MP435u headunit

Kenwood may be able to give you the code via the serial number. You may be able to enter it with a combination of the switches. It may also have a "default code" Kenwood may want to see a bill of sale...not sure.

I am installing kenwood kdc-mp443u.

A speaker wire has a short-circuit, crossed, or touches the chassis of the vehicle it activates the protection mode function. ? Wire or insulate the speaker cable properly and press the reset button. If the "PROTECT" code does not disappear, consult your nearest service center. I have attached a link for you which is for a free Kenwood KDC-MP443U instruction manual download. Nice receiver by the way! Kenwood KDC MP443U Instruction Manual

Not being able to access my aux input

Try putting the unit in standby via the "SRC" button FIRST..., then press the menu button and cycle through to the "AUX 1" option and activate this....then press menu button again. When the unit is next switched on, you should have an "AUX" option accessible via the "SRC" button which will cycle through all of the availale modes ....standby-tuner-cd-aux etc etc.

I'm trying to use aux to play music from my phone, a galaxy s4, I bought a 3.5 mm cord, and I figured out how to turn aux on, but the music won't play, only from my phone, any suggestions?

It may be a case of using a Preamp device in line. You may not have sufficient line current to move the audio from the phone to the aux.

Security unlock code KENWOOD most models

Hi there, there is a standard procedure we use to bypass the code when we have the gear on the test bench for repair. Try this and it should sort out your problem

You need the remote control to do this, if you don't have one, then you may need to go to a KENWOOD agent and get them to clear the code for you, or purchase one for your use.

KENWOOD KDC SECURITY CODE CLEAR procedure

Your code number is 5227 (KCAR)

* Press numeric key “5” ( 2 times ) and press the Track UP/Next Track key
* Press numeric key “2” ( 3 times ) and press the Track UP/Next Track key
* Press numeric key “2” ( 1 time ) and press the Track UP/Next Track key
* Press numeric key “7” ( 2 times ) and press the Track UP/Next Track key

Your radio will require one of the following procedures.

Type 1
During the code request mode, while holding the DISP key depressed, press and hold the Volume UP or DOWN key for 3 seconds (so that “…” disappears).
Then using your remote enter your code.

Type 2
Press the "Auto" button and "Track up" on face of radio at the same time. The four dash lines ( . . . . ) should "disappear".

Then using your remote enter your code.

Type 3
Model# DPX-4020 and DPX-4030
Press and hold the 1 then the 6 preset key (preset keys are the buttons on face of radio for storing you "favorite" radio stations). "C" should display.
Then using your remote, enter your code.

Enter your number from the remote control unit.

The security is canceled and the set enters the TUNER mode!
