Dislplay reads "not ready"

I changed the dry ink - no help. Nothing in the manual about this problem. Have turned the machine on and off several times - no luck.

Try this reset.
Power the machine off, Hold "0" the zero key while powering the machine on. That will put it in diagnostics mode.
Then enter 20, press start, then enter 3 and start.
Power off and back on and let me know.

    Your welcome.
You may want to enter diagnostics again, press 0 and power on, And enter 10 and 65 and see where it is set. If the number is over 50, press zero and start to reset that counter.

    Glad to have helped.

The side door sometimes will not close correctly, because the tab is worn out.
If you cannot afford to pay for the service call and parts, try using duct tape to hold the door closed. Often the mahine will say E7 to close the side door, and not ready.

My new Lexmark Interpret S405 says there is no cartridge in the Magenta slot but really is and it is in there correctly 'cause it can't go any other way. Help!!!

Go into your printer settings and tell the printer to use black ink only and see if it works. You may have got a start up cartridge with the printer and it will not print that many copies and the manuf. now have a chip in the ink replacements that will not allow you to remove and refill the ink so when you take it out the printer won't recognize the cartridge the second time.

Cannot put in my black ink into my epson stylus dx 6050

You can download the manual from here, which gives a full explanation on changing ink cartridges:

http://esupport.epson-europe.com/FileDetails.aspx?lng=en-GB&data=dkmEK02SU002FerSswuKrCsBh8QsoyzJb18U&id=8383

You can do it manually by turning on the printer, then, as soon as the print head starts to move, pull out the power cord from the printer, or switch off at the mains. The print head will now be free to move (carefully) by hand to the cartridge change position. Replace the cartridges and turn the printer back on. Carry out a cleaning cycle.

If the cartridges have been out for a while, you will no doubt have dried ink blocking the nozzles. Several cleaning cycles may be needed, or other methods, to clear the print nozzles. Report back if this is the case.

Remember in future not to remove a cartridge until you are ready to replace it.

Toner alarm stays on with new cartridge

Printhead is dried up and may need to be replaced. The printhead usually has a life kinda like the inks. You should be able to find a printhead from your local fax repair shop and installation should be simple. Once replaced you may install inks and run several cleaning cycles. Please let me know if this helped.

if it is an inkjet printer then the line that feeds the ink is dried up, may not be worth it, depending on how much you bought it for.

Not printing in color

Hi-

Chances are the tubes are clog and you need to dismantle the printer to clean it, if you have tried cleaning the heads several times then nothing change. Might as well have it service or buy a new one, call epson customer service- 562 276 4382 or 1300 so that they will offer you the loyalty website and you can get a new epson printer, discounted in price.

Hope this help
