Hi, i push the power button and the green light turns on, shutters open, i get the music, then a white flash in the screen and it turns off. someitmes the shutter stays open, other times it closes. turn it on again, the shutters close then open, white flash on the screen turns off. help please.

Try the Sony web site technical help. but I feel that there is a main board fault developed here- perhaps time for a new camera try the tech help first though

The slightly open shutter is the reason for this problem. Thank God you mentioned it.
Solution: Try with your fingers to shift the shutter “blades” back and forth to see if they move freely. If they do no move freely it maens the shutter “blasdes” and stuck by particles/dust/something. So you just continue to shift them like that untill they are free again. Once they are free turn your camera back on and it should perform as normal.

Hi, Error: TURN THE POWER OFF AND ON AGAIN is displayed on the LCD screen when the Lens Mechanism is stuck or when affected by any malfunction. If turning the power on and off again does not resolve the error message, try doing a power reset and Initialize option. Performing a manual power reset Turn off the camera. Remove the battery pack. Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds. Allow the camera to remain without power for 60 seconds. Reinsert the battery pack. Turn on the camera. To reset the Camera back to factory default, select the INITIALIZE Option from the Main Settings Menu of the Camera to OK.This will set the user defined settings back to factory default. The images and videos will not get deleted. If the issue persists, service may be required. Thanks for contacting FixYa.
