Horizontal lines on hitach 50ux58k

see the indicator of your tv. if it is glowing then any of the IC may be gone bad. if not u need to check the power supply. these tvs has very complicated schematic diagrams.

Your vertical amp is failing and you will have to get it replaced. If your TV is under warranty, i suggest contacting the shop or manufacturer and get it fixed/replaced.

If not, then you will need to contact a qualified TV repairman to replace the vertical amp for you, as i wouldn't recommend opening the TV set to try a DIY..

The capacitor is located just to the right of the horizontal output transistor...and the fuse is located right near the 120V B+ led

hitachi model 51f510 projection tv has horizontal lines & has greenish tint,do i need to chang the bulbs??i alredy tryd the magic focus button & manual focus,but unsuccesfl,any ideas????

this is called viedo noise
you will need to replace capisitor Cc10 its Value is 1000uf @ 16v the cap is a filter On Sw +9v Line , on pin 20 of Ic01, ( or corma Jungle IC)

You can get the parts from www.TvRepairKits.com. They have put together a kit that includes the parts and instructions to fix the following models (50UX58B, 60UX58B, 50UX58K, 60UX58K, 50SBX78B or 60SBX78B). 

our hitachi did the same thing. It cost us 300.00 to tell us that there were two bad solder joints and they caused a power surge or something.
