Cannot reset time or date on ICF-CL75iP

Hi, I have a problem, recently I experianced a blackout which lasted for 3 days. Since the power has now come back on, I have tried to reset the time and date on my Sony Dream Machine. But it will not allow me to reset it, the time is sitting at 1 am and the date is 1.1.2009, I have reset the factory settings, unplugged it a couple of times, I took out the backup battery, tried to reset the time without it. Put it back in and tried to reset, but nothing. Can anyone help please. Its my primary clock and alarm I really need it to be working. thanks in advance.

To add to my post last night, I attempted the update to 1.07 firmware, I have followed the instructions but when I turn on the machine after I have put the SD card in,, all I see is a blue screen no instructions on updating the firmware.

Adding, I have now managed to update firmware to 1.10, but still cannot reset the clock or change the date

This is weird, I left the unit plugged in with incorrect date and time because I needed it to charge my iPhone, left it overnight and in the morning date had changed to 30/01/46 and time was 1.30 am. Changed the date and time to current date and time and it was ok. Strange

My sony icf-cl75ip wont turn on and is making a clicking sound. How can I fix this?

There is not reason this would click and not turn on. If it just clicked, it would likely be caused by interference from another appliance, typically a fridge or freezer. The most likely reason is a relay in the internal power supply. It will need a Sony Service Centre.

It isn't a recorded known issue. Sony are high quality equipment so it is worth getting it fixed.

Power interruption and now my plug,n go seems to be frozen. Cannot set time or clear anything. Screen reads 9.80 or something close

I had a similar problem with my Bosch wall oven after a recent power outage-restart-outage-restart cycle that lasted only about thirty seconds altogether. The difference would be in that while I could reset all the things like day, date, time, etc., the oven would arbitrarily go off on its own and make up the day, time, date, year, etc., with no apparent correspondance to reality. Here's what I did: I completely shut down the oven at its outside breaker (you will need to do whatever it takes to remove the power from the 'plug-n-go'). I waited five or ten minutes before turning the power back on and resetting the various items. Two days have passed and there have been no more mind-of-its-own excursions into another time zone. Problem solved, unless/until another power outage cycle comes along. Hope this helps, or at least gives you an idea about where to start.

1Press Menu/Set, 0, 2.

2 Enter the last two digits of the year. Press Menu/Set.

3 Enter two digits for the month. Press Menu/Set.

(For example, enter 09 for September, or 10 for October.)

4 Enter two digits for the day. Press Menu/Set.

(For example, enter 06 for 6th.)

5 Enter the time in 24-Hour format. Press Menu/Set.

(For example, enter 15:25 for 3:25 P.M.)

6 Press Stop/Exit.

The LCD now shows the date and time whenever the machine is idle in Fax mode.

When the machine is in Sleep mode, the LCD shows Sleep. (See Sleep Time on page 2-8.)

Hopefully that worked correctly and solved your problem!

How do i set the date on Brother intellifax 2820?

Setting the Date and Time
Your FAX/MFC displays the date and time and prints it on every fax you send.
In the event of a power failure, you may have to reset the date and time. All other settings remain unaffected.
1 Press Menu/Set, 1, 2.
2 Enter the last two digits of the year, and then press Menu/Set.
3 Enter two digits for the month (for example, enter 09 for September, or 10
for October), and then press Menu/Set.
4 Enter two digits for the day (for example, 06), and then press Menu/Set.
5 Enter the time in 24-hour format (for example, enter 15:25 for 3:25 PM),
and then press Menu/Set.
6 Press Stop/Exit.
The LCD now shows the date and time.
