Hi, I have a problem, recently I experianced a blackout which lasted for 3 days. Since the power has now come back on, I have tried to reset the time and date on my Sony Dream Machine. But it will not allow me to reset it, the time is sitting at 1 am and the date is 1.1.2009, I have reset the factory settings, unplugged it a couple of times, I took out the backup battery, tried to reset the time without it. Put it back in and tried to reset, but nothing. Can anyone help please. Its my primary clock and alarm I really need it to be working. thanks in advance.

Has recently happened to me also. Updating the firmware and powercycling does not fix the issue
1Press Menu/Set, 0, 2.
2 Enter the last two digits of the year. Press Menu/Set.
3 Enter two digits for the month. Press Menu/Set.
(For example, enter 09 for September, or 10 for October.)
4 Enter two digits for the day. Press Menu/Set.
(For example, enter 06 for 6th.)
5 Enter the time in 24-Hour format. Press Menu/Set.
(For example, enter 15:25 for 3:25 P.M.)
6 Press Stop/Exit.
The LCD now shows the date and time whenever the machine is idle in Fax mode.
When the machine is in Sleep mode, the LCD shows Sleep. (See Sleep Time on page 2-8.)
Hopefully that worked correctly and solved your problem!

To add to my post last night, I attempted the update to 1.07 firmware, I have followed the instructions but when I turn on the machine after I have put the SD card in,, all I see is a blue screen no instructions on updating the firmware.
Adding, I have now managed to update firmware to 1.10, but still cannot reset the clock or change the date
This is weird, I left the unit plugged in with incorrect date and time because I needed it to charge my iPhone, left it overnight and in the morning date had changed to 30/01/46 and time was 1.30 am. Changed the date and time to current date and time and it was ok. Strange
So it appears the solution is to plug it in and be patient eventually it will reset itselff
