Pink circles and glares with sunset photos

I just recently purchased the Canon sd750. So far I love the camera, however whenever I take photos of a sunset I have large orange and pink circles in the middle of the photo, as well as random pink blobs of glare elsewhere in parts of the pictures. I've tried changing some of the automatic settings but nothing seems to change. Is this typical of this model or is it a defect?? Are there any other changes in settings that I can make? I recently owned the sd630 and my sunset shots were perfect. (No glare whatsoever.) Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you! :-)

My sd750 is the all silver model, I didn't want the black one.

It may have to do with the black ring. (think football players). I'm guessing either that or the more sensitive, noisier CCD is to blame!!! Good Luck!!!

How do you turn the flash off?

Press the flash button (right on the multiselector, marked with a lightning bolt) repeatedly to cycle through the various flash modes. To turn off the flash, select the lightning bolt in a circle with a slash through it. Don't forget to turn it back on later if you want it to flash.

Canon digital IXUS 970IS, pink/purple screen images

Sounds like a CCD image sensor problem, not a do-it-yourself repair, but this would also definitely fall under warranty repair. The IXUS 970IS is a relatively new camera, and thus your camera should likely still be under warranty. Recommend that you contact Canon directly to arrange warranty repair. If in US or Canada, call 1-800-OK-CANON. All others, www.canon.com, select "Support" and then your Region for further info in your local area.

Use of macro digital feature

hi,let me just inform u that the macro mode is only for outdoors. So on the side of the camera u will find a sliding switch.Just slide it to the opposite direction to turn off the macro mode.Since u wanted to take pictures of jewelry pieces, turn on the flash if u have one and then take a closeup shot with good lighting conditions. If its too bright then use only the flash,if u r not satisfied with the quality then use only lights and then take a pic.Still face any prob plz get back to me.
